how do u think when you boyfriend ask u to pay the rent?

i will quit the jop here and move to another city, where my boyfriend lives. but last night he told me that i should pay some of the rent. he said that the living expense of that city was much higher.and at the prsent he lives in a rented apartemnt with his sister and brother-in-law. they share the rent together. i promised my boyfriend that i would share the rent.but actually i feel some kind unconfortable.you know,in china, it is quite normal that your boyfriend pays the rent alone when you live together with him.in fact ,i donot care about such question.i just care whether he loves me or not .i doubt that. how do you think of that question,my lotters? i want your help.
