I like the durian candy only not the fresh fruit. The one that is rectangular shaped candy, usually packed in like an onion skin paper. I don't know actually what its called .
Well i am seeing durian flavored ice cream now (in tendesitas pasig), have you tried it already? You are a durian lover, i guess you must try it. But as for me, I find it a little strange, I don't have the guts to try and taste it.

Hi there.
I'm not quite sure if we're on the same side of the planet but my instinct tells me that you're also from the Philippines. Honestly, I haven't eaten durian fruit straight from a tree but I'm familiar with its taste because I've already eaten durian through the candy delicacies sold in the local market and through the ones given to me as "pasalubong".
Anyway, I have to admit that I'm a sweet tooth and I do love sweet foods specially cakes, pastries, ice cream, chocolates, including durian. But what I'm curious about is regarding what other people claim that this fruit bears a foul odor, like you said. Is it really that awful?
Regards and God speed.

I love durian too. I do not think of it as foul smelling but rather it was too fragrant that makes it smell too strong. Sadly I can not eat it here in the city because it is not sold in supermarkets here. I love the durian ice cream too. I wish I could visit Davao and eat some.

They say that durian is a very delicious fruit. But I can't manage to eat it because of the smell. I can't stand it. I have a keen sense of smell and Before the fruit touches my lips. I am already discouraged to eat it. hehe..

I love durian too! It's so delicious and I like its taste so much. However, we can only have durian once or twice a year. During durian season, there are piles of durian for sale and the price will depend on the overall availability. If the total produce is less, then price will soar higher and vice versa.
Although I like durian very much, but I dare eat too much at one time. If I take too much of it, I might get a fever. Usually I will drink more water after having the durian.
Happy posting and have a nice day!
