When you were in High School, do you always bring your own paper?

Actually, when i was still on elementary, asking for papers on your classmates is prohibited. When i was in first year high school, i brought all the needed stuffs in school, unaware that most of the students here dont even care bringing their own bag or even pens. Then months after that, i was kinda influenced by this. its just very funny because when our teacher conducts test, like 70% of the students go towards those smartie pants and asks for papers LOL.

I can't help but laugh when I saw your post. I remembered the good old high school days. In our case before 50% of the time we will bring the other half we won't. It was like someone will be in charge for the day or for the week. But there were some classmates who really had some thick skin and wouldn't bring anything even if it were their turn. If they don't bring anything we would be lining down the canteen to buy our paper. There was one time the teacher had to give us all zero in our score because we don't have paper. As you know we were about 35 in the class before, but we were so united. If we agreed that one person should bring the paper nobody will bring anything after. That was high school and it was really fun to be in high school. I missed it now.

LOL. I was one of those who constantly bring paper to school. I guess I was one of the goody goodies of the class. But when I reached college, I stopped bringing papers, which was a bad idea, cause I had one prof who constantly gives surprises quizzes, and if you don't have any paper, then you can't take the quiz. LOL. Everyone scrambles to find someone who would be willing to give out papers for free. hehehehe.

LOL, im the opposite of what you are when you were in high school, though sometime i feel like bringing some papers, i immediately miss the feeling of asking one for papers LOL, so i hide my papers and asks for one, its like a party in the room if this happens LOL, I also encountered one teacher wherin he was very scary and strict, and have a "no paper, no grade" system, i actually forced my seatmate in giving me a piece of paper in exchange of money!(secretly of course) LOL

i find this topic so funny!
I remember when i was in highschool, i always bring 3 types of paper cuts - 1 whole pad paper; half pad paper and the 1/4 size pad paper. Why? because everyday was unexpected day for our class. Some of our professors, i remember, would always had unannounced exam, especially when she/he gets angry with our class haha We used pad papers for minor quizzes then. i missed it!

At the beginning of the school year, all my teachers would tell the students they need to bring their own material and be prepared for class but after awhile, a lot of people forget to bring a pen/pencil or paper. I am one of those person. I try to bring my own paper most of the time but sometimes I forget to refill my paper stack and would have to ask someone for it.

MOst of the time in school i was prepared. Rarely would I have to ask for something. It happened mainly when I was out of paper or lost my pencil/pen. I wasn't one of those smarties but i was trying to keep my gpa up for later reference. I slacked my first year of high school and to this day regret it cause it brought my gpa down.

Most of the time, I had a notebook and a pen. Like 1% of the time I didn't bring it, but that would be because I forgot or was in a hurry and didn't have time to take it out. Once someone borrowed a pen from me and didn't return it. I stopped lending pens after that. So, if you're not prepared you can't always depends on the "smartie pants".

poor classmates. I usu bring my own paper too because I am afraid others will not lend me one when I ask and I end up not being able to take the test. I am not very good and making friends and I dont want to ruin my day because of those people who only know your name when they need you and when you need them its like they dont know you at all. I hate those people. Highschool days!!!

My school we didn't even need a book bag so almost the entire school just ask the teacher for paper, besides all text books were kept in class and they did everything on paper they printed out or on the board! so it wasn't necessary for me to bring anything sometimes i would bring a 2 pens and some paper but that was rarely and for the class so we can have more paper

When I was in school it was back when teachers taught and the schools supplied all your needs .Pens, paper, glue, erasers, desks and books. Wow! has time changed. Our job as students was to learn, learn and learn. Now a days it seems students learn to duck responsiblities, let others pay for your education, and skip school(they might pay you to go to school)
In high school we had a school store that carried supples you might need but the school did not stock in large amounts. You could buy extra paper, pens, pencils if you wanted.

I always bring complete stuff during my high school days.
I don't want to have shame in asking paper to classmates
in times of test. And I am afraid to be late in answering
the examination just because don't have paper. If that
happen to me before the class started I ask and go to my
best friend and borrow some pieces of it and promised to
back the next day.First time to hear of you that almost
70% was not bringing a paper I guess the teacher should
do some policies in her classroom to say all the things
needed in the class to avoid noisy and late finished of the
test.I know it can also create trouble to some students
in the class.

Yeah I always used to take my own stuff with me... I always took notebooks, and a pencil case with pens and pencils etc, and I also had a locker where I used to keep things that I may have needed etc... I think I just like to be prepared, just in case those things were not given out freely.

Yes when I was in HighSchool I always did come along with my papers. It was always against school rules and regulations to borrow paper or anything for that matter from your fellow classmates. You could get punished for that so I always brought my own papers and all other requirements.
