Now I finished a phone call from someone I heard in phone as the person typing at PC and TV was given maximum I said : "Please call me later because I hear you`re very busy now. Goodbye" I know that was not polite what I said... but I think a person who makes many things can not focus much on the phone call

That wasn't rude sweetie. The least that person could have done, was to turn down the tv. TATA.

Hi saphrina: I agree with you. This wasn't rude at all. This person simply need to know that when you talk to someone else you expect that this person will be concentrated to what you are going to say, and not to be his/her thir priority? Lol. XD. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO

I can read, eat, listen to music at the same time and I have learn to do so when I was in college where I got to study and eat too at a proper time so I did both at the same time and then comes the music which helped me do the other two works. I often do them now because I am still a student and I can manage these three work wonderfully.

I will surely try about this because I do not remember to have tried this one too along with the three others. However I am sure if my sister is on line then I won't be able to do the three together because she is just a chatter and you got to follow her when she talks else she will question me and I won't be able to answer back.

Hi cip116, I believe one won't handle all the tasks nicely if he is trying to do multitasks at the same time. So it's wise for you to ask the opposite party to call you back later To be frank I dislike people to pay lip service while doing thing or having communication. Moreover working without a concentration on a single thing easy to make us more prone to error. I try not to do multitask if coping with big deal or serious business. I still would do several things most of the time. That is to watch tv programs or listen to music while typing mylot posts, as well as chatting with my husband at the same time. But I won't do this for sure while entertain my guests as it's indecent. Happy posting and have a nice day

I do not think that it was impolite, you were thinking of the person's concentration, and of course yes you were concerned they would not be able to talk because of having several things going on at once. I do not call people unless I am going to halfway pay attention to them. I won't call and talk to them if I am watching t.v., I might If I am making money online but usually I will cease that for a few moments to catch up with them on the phone.

Yes I am sure they'll realize you'd rather them talk when they are not busy doing other things.

I am a person that tries to multi task, but i would never type whilst trying to talk to someone as i think that is not very polite. Also if i heard a person typing then i would also say ring me when you are not that busy. The only time that i multitask is when i am not trying to talk to someone.

I dont think so that its impolite. You're just being honest. So its nothing wrong with. And you just probably save the time of that person who just to call you. That is why its fine.

well, i am a person who do multi-task as well simply because i want to save time and work in a more efficient way... but when i am speaking with somebody, i have the courtesy to stop for a while what i am doing and listen to the person on the phone... i think it is just respecting the person on the other line... i wouldn't want people to give me half-concentration when i am talking to him/her on the phone... that is very disrespectful and i will feel very upset... take care and have a nice day...

the rudeness depends on your tone of voice. I guess you were somehow ironic when you said that but it's not so bad. Like that the person you called might realize that what they he/she was doing it's not right. I think that when someone wants to speak with you at least pretend you attention is not distracted...This is what your friend should have done...at least stop typing at the PC and turn down the TV's volume a little...

Of course, you are right but you were just thinking that your friend might be busy. It is good that you said that. Sometimes, when you call someone and you feel that one is not interested to hear and you rang up at wrong time then it feels really bad as you were calling after so long time. I also feel bad when I call up someone and feel that I disturbed one and rang at wrong time. I just say will call you later and cut the phone politely. And then I just don't call back. I get the call from other side later..

Hi cip: I think the same. I think it's better to be totally concentrated in one thing each time and not a lot of things at the same time. In some cases it makes me nervous to watch a person so efficient. Lol. XD. I mean, we are human beings, not robots, it's not natural that you try to do like three things at the same time. Some people can afford to do this but I'm not one of them. Lol. XD I prefer to be relaxed and make things simple. Thanks for asking us this question. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Yes - this is practically possible when your mind is set and have a strong will to attend. You should be creative to manage this.It is really possible. I am one of them who enjoy doing a couple of things at a time. My wife sometimes wonders as to how I do that......

Ever since I started working multi-tasking or doing several things at once efficiently has always been a must so I am pretty used to it. I know it can get pretty tiring but most people do not have much choice on which job to take and I am one of them

Oh you are brave, i do wish i had that courage sometimes. I tend to have quite a few things going on at once but i do find that having a lasting conversation which has any worth is quite impossible while i'm trying to type. I think most people can only focus on the meaning of one word or sentece at a time. I tend to shut myself away when i want to get some serious work done. this week i'm logging time so if someone walks into the room or the phone rings i write down a stop time before i say hi. I know that can be a rude pause but i'd rather not do things halfheartedly. it takes longer eventually anyway!
