The manufactures made in China used to be considered as junk, usually with poor quality and performances before. But things change nowadays, many foreign companies invest big amount of money in China to build their own plants, they also bring new technology through out all the departments of the workflows, and available managements in all the fields to support the whole company runs well,as well as the stricter standard to qualiflied products. All of that also give local companies in China a pretty good example to follow, learn the skill and managements of the advanced companies, and bring the categories made in China a new higher level. Maybe it's time to change the impression to Chinese goods, what's ur opinion ?

Chinese goods have improved considerably, but we still get a fair amount of dangerous toys from cheaper manufacturers.

Hi,Memnon Well,I have heard of such a thing called "the poison toys from China" as u mentioned here,I think the behavior of those plants in China are unmoral and also break laws, they should be punished. It's awful that when u image ur kids are playing with those toys cluttered with poison black cotton. In the other hand,I donnt think it's fair that put all the blames and denunciation to those company, and said they should be responsible to the whole things, coz all of us know every company would audit their suppliers in their own principles,I'm confused that where does the "pass/ok" come from after those original design companys audit those Chinese plants...

I haven't seen a difference in quality and still won't buy "Made in China" if I want it to last more than a year. That goes for everything from tools to clothing. I say you still get what you pay for, and if I can afford it, I buy quality products from the USA, Europe and a few other places. So, no, my opinion still hasn't changed.

I do admire that some sorts of manufactures as household tools in metal are usually in poor quality, coz they are often in pretty low price.Like goods bought in flea markets. On the other hand,,maybe it's hard for u to believe that 1/3 of loptops all around the world are producted in China,I mean the basic components like cpu, mother board, and pcb.including Apple,Dell,IBM,of course(I mean China mainland, exclusive Taiwan). I think u also like to use camera from Nikon,Sony,Canon, these companies also have their own plants in China,so this part of China made is invisible and also be certificated and accepted by the consumers in other nations ironically . Happy mylotting,I hope u could run into a really bargain made in China ASAP.

To tell you the truth, I don't think all Chinese products are junk. In India, most of the Chinese products can definitely be classified as junk. Case in point: I bought Bench grinder and some other small working tools, and they don't last more than one or two weeks. But that is not to say all are not good. I bought some really good quality stuff made in China too. I do believe that quality is improving, though.
