Yeah I agree with you that this is a very hard question. And I am really happy to answer this because this discussion for me makes sense! My ideas are overflowing now haha! I find very rare discussions here that suits my interest and mood and thanks to you again because I like this. I will answer this question by choosing only one but I will raise my point on both sides. So my decision will be at the end or bottom of this response. First option is to get 100 million dollar but to live for 10 years only from the time you get it. Second is to get 10 dollars but you will live until you reach a hundred years. The first option will allow me to help a lot of people including my own family. I can change their lives especially those love ones who needs help financially in order to support their daily needs and education. So it will really help a lot. Problem is I will only have 10 more years to live. That means I will only be reaching the age of 35 while my husband by that time will be 50. And our son by that time will be 11 years old. It will be very hard for me to leave them that early because I am happy with my life now even if we just earn enough and 10 years for me is a very short one. That is because our life has just started. Another reason is that I really want us to reach at least 50 years of married life so that we can still see our grandchildren. But we really never know what happens next. I can only base my answer with the present. Second option is to reach the years that I want because its a hundred and I am only wishing for me to at least reach the age of 80 and my husband will be 95. So it is almost there right? I even deducted 15 years haha! Anyway I understand that 10 dollars is not even enough for the expenses we have each day. So I guess it will be very hard to live that long without being sure of where to get support financially. And besides I think I understood it clear that the 100 years will only benefit me, right? Maybe I could accept if it the same lifespan applies to my husband and son. Ergo, my decision now goes to the 1st option. 10 years may be short for me but the money I will get will be enough to fulfill all my unaccomplished dreams for my family and loved ones. Not only that I will make them happy but I will also help the poor and those who really needs help like orphanage, home for the aged and deserving charities. I will make that short 10 years meaningful and unforgettable and I am going to leave a mark/spot on the hearts and minds of the people I will help. What makes life worthy is not the length of years you have lived, but what you have done to make it worth it. So final answer, option A. Even if I will just have to see my son until he's eleven. And my husband too, when he's 50. Sigh.

Hmm...I think I'd put that genie back. xD I wouldn't want either. I'm still young, so living only ten years is unthinkable. I do hope to live many more years than that. On the other hand, I don't really want to live to be 100 either. I want to live to an old life, sure, but not that old. Especially if it would mean living 20 years after my husband or something like that. So I don't think I'd be able to accept either one.

I'll take the 10 dollars. I love my life even though I'm not that successful. I like it when I'm earning money based from hardwork, not some wish that will shorten my lifespan. I'd rather live a hundred years and find ways to earn money than be lazy and live only 10 more years.

i would chose that 100 million dollars for 10 more years..because for me, it is the length of your stay in this world that matters, but it is living a meaningful life..with my 100 million dollars here philippines, i could already build a buildings and business so i could provide works specially to those out of school youth.. i could give them trainings to develop them into a productive good citizen.. i could have a housing program for the poor where they can live decently and pay it by working in the liveligood i am going to put up so they can also have income to support and feed their children. with my 100 million dollars i could have a school for free for the street children...i have everything in my power to help other people live a meaningful life...and teaching them to become a good samaritan to others, spreading the goodness and kindness they recieved out of what i give them..looking at them and all these people live a happy and meaningful life is more than enough for me to live 10 years.. what is 100 years of a wasted life? seeing the people around us suffering including our family and extended families and friends? and imagine ten more years of a ,contented ,meaningul life? 't it great? if we only think of ourselves , then it is hard to chose between the two..i dont wanna live 10 more years of suffering and a life without meaning...

i will chose 100 million dollars, 10 years form now is enough to enjoy that 100 million dollars and help people~, for me to live till 100 is painful ... we don't know what happen when we are 70++ years old. maybe the things we can do only lying on the bed or using wheelchair and need someone to take care of us, and we have wait until 100 .

I would choose to be granted 100 million dollars and live for 10 years because I think in ten years that will be the perfect time to die and by then I will have finished my goals and accomplishments in life. I would spend the next ten years just travelling and buying things. Take care

I think i would rather live a longer life than having lots of money... what would you do with your 100 million dollars if you are suffering from a serious medical condition? i have been suffering from an illness and i can't enjoy my life fully. complete healing/miracle is what i have been praying for so long. i'd pick 100 million who needs to live long anyway? but i will ensure that i will outlive my 100 million by investing it in making better lives for people around me i'd make a foundation with the mission to provide free education and health benefits to those who need it and also employment basically to empower people to think the same way as i do if i could affect 100 people and they affect 100 people in turn that would mean a lot of people. And this will be my purpose for the 10 years i have to live i'd buy myself a porsche too hehehe hey i think i deserve one anyway

hi manozz, you have great question there,my friend and i think i'd pick the one which i can have 100 million dollars and spend my life 10 years more. i think 10 years is more than enough and being able to have 100 million dollars can be a great help specially most filipinos. many people in the philippines is really poor and have no education. maybe i'll share some for foundations to help street children a right to be better person and live the way children should be,not on the streets. and buy my own dreamhouse for my parents and siblings and niece. i want them to live prosperously. i want to help my relatives who are really in need of money. and make my life more meaningful for my last 10 years to live. who cares about living 100 years when you are still facing poverty and crisis,right? make your life more meaningful and spend your 10 years with your loved ones peacefully. i hope i can do that,in the future...

I'd take the money, you could do a lot of living in 10 years with 100 millon dollars and still leave some behind for your family.

That's easy for me. I'd take the millions of dollars and live the way I'd be proud of after I've gone. Only God can make life and Only God can take it,so the genie may not have it right so I'll take his money and leave my life in God's hands.

I would be happier living the longer life with less money. Money does not bring happiness. Living life to the fullest does. What good is a fortune anyway if you are not around to enjoy it?

Im going to be awkward here, you see I wouldnt want to live untill I was 100 anyway, unless I would still be fit and healthy and all my family would still be with me, so I would have to ask whether I would still be fit and healthy at 100. If he said no, that I would age normally, then I would walk away, I dont see the point of 100 mill if Im only here for 10 years. If there was no way of getting out of this, then I would choose the $10, and just start a family a bit later, so I would have company in my old age!

lol..I go with the 1st one..life is not really how long u live... but how you live your days while your still alive...and theres a lot to see and lots to do and experience... I will spend the whole 10years travelling around the world..or even going to the moon,... if I can with that money..lol

I think i wud go for B. I am just 19 so i dont wana die early...and if he wud give me 10$ a day i wud save it in a bank daily and can enjoy it later may be with my gf ..hehe
