How do feel that Simon is leaving the American idol scene? For me its like the only reason i have ever watched American Idol was for his brutal honesty that he showed throught all seasons. So now you will have 2 of the original 3 judges out of American idol do you think randy will ever leave the show because we all know that Ryan isn't going anywhere.

i heard that Simon is also a judge on the English talent show (do not know it's official title) and that he is quite good. I fear that American Idol is choosing judges not because of their musical experience but based on personality and on whom the media wants to win. To them, their ability to sing comes second to them being media darlings. At least Paula and Simon had music in their backgrounds and possibly took lessons and music theory. I am not sure about the others.

That was the one, Britain got Talent. I saw him when Susan Boyd won and I liked his review of her. So I know that American Idol will be going down hill now that the two best judges are gone.

Simon quit because he's going over to a new show American X-Factor ( a spinoff of the British X-Factor) which will compete with Idol. Of the 3 judges left, Ellen is the ONLY one without musical talent. Kara is an award winning song writer. Randy is an award winning bassist, producer, etc. He grew up playing for Santana & Journey. So I think that qualifies Kara & Randy to be considered musically talented. Ellen is there to represent the people like you & me....the ones that know what they hear & like without the musical talent. After 9 years, Idols would be losing it's spot by natural causes. I don't think Simon leaving will be the cause of its demise!!!

I'm honestly glad that Simon is leaving. I don't feel like the show HAS to have him since it's supposed to be about the contestants anyway. Not only that but he tries to purposely confuse the other judges and contestants to get results he wants. I honestly feel like he's been intentionally trying to bring Season 9 down so that X-Factor will be successful when it comes to the United States.

I'm not watching Idol after this year. Without Simon being there it won't be the same. I like his criticism and jokes, hes what the show is all about. Who knows what next year will bring it'll be totally differen't. I'm sure Randy will probably leave when his time is right. Seems like the judges don't stay anywhere to long.

I am just THRILLED that Simon won't be there anymore!!! I find him to be RUDE!!!! Kara & Randy can be just as honest, but they don't find the need to be as rude as Simon. Anyway, Simon will be starting an American X-Factor so you will still be able to watch him if you like. I don't think he did anything to enhance AI. I watch the show to enjoy the up & coming stars NOT to hear Simon run his mouth. I think the 3 judges that are left will do just fine. They never needed 4 judges until Simon decided to leave. They just brought Ellen in to see how she'd workout before Simon left. I've noticed this season that Randy has started being more critical. I wonder if he won't take Simon's place??? So to answer your question as to how I feel about Simon leaving, I say GOODBYE & GOOD RIDDANCE!!! 0.

I do not think it will be the same without him.... Maybe they can get the guy that plays House to take his place..... They are on the same grumpy level and speak the truth...... It is better to hear what is wrong then for someone to give you false hope.....

We only hate Simon when he makes harsh comments on our favorite contestants. But c'mon, the show would be lifeless without him. I don't want him to leave American Idol, and when he does, the producers better find the best one to replace him. I don't even think there would be any!

I feel that many people will stop watching the show once Simon leaves the show. I know that many people respect him and appreciate his honesty even if they do not like him. I feel that Simon is what allows the contestants to improve on a weekly basis due to the fact that he doesn't sugar coat them. Paula was a wreck last year, but the show is not the same without her. I sometimes wonder if Ellen has even watched the same performance that the other judges have.
I do not think that Randy will leave until the show is off the air. I also think that Kara is here to stay unless she has an affair with Casey James after the show this year and then the producers may get rid of her.

I'm not happy that Simon is leaving at all. I think the show will now go down the tubes with him gone. Everyone will start to watch X-Factor which will be his new baby in the states. As for Randy he will stay till the show is over. I do believe if their is one more season it will be the last one. It just won't be the same with Simon gone.

It will never be the same without Simon. It is a little dull this year without Paula. The banters and flirtation between Paula and Simon made it interesting. I hardly watch it this season, and without Simon, I probably will stop it altogether.
I can't imagine American Idol without Mr. Cowell.
