do you still remember that line when we were in pre school or even in grade school? If you still, were all of your wish came true. Did you strive to reach it? If you fill in the blank, what was it? How did you feel that you fulfilled it? How did you feel that it fails to be in reality? What were the obstacles that you encountered and what was your edge that you were able to reach it? As for me, struggle was the way to reach it, with all my sweat and tears, so hard but I was able to reach it eventually.

I changed it everytime someone asked me that question. I didn't have one thing that I wanted to be. I wanted to do lots of things. I can't be limited to one function like a cheap robot. I answered police officer, pilot, soldier, astronaut, stuntman, surgeon, and some other ones that I can't think of right now. I haven't reached any of those yet, but I don't care really. It will happen when it happens.

hi! redhotpogo! That is normal because the people you have encountered inspires you to change your perpective. Like you happen to see a good police officer with a clean uniform and posture, then you admired him and you said to yourself, " I want to be like him." Then you took a flight somewhere or you have watch movies showing actor with pilot role. Then you wanted to be soldier, astronaut and any other whatever may influenced you. what matter is you strive to be somebody, somehow. Go, chase your dream!

lucky for you. and there are very few, who will toil hard, .. as you rightly said, .. struggle, sweat, tears and all... to achieve the aspired goal. i am one of you! but, never thought .. even in those wild-dreams, that I could excel and make for myself a name in the field OF medicine. I think, my childhood wish came true. ... now, I am trying to imbibe the same confidence in my kids, and high-school children, where I occasionally go for guest-lectures and motivation.

I grew up wondering what is this I what I wanted to be. It is carried in my heart and along the way I found, it is to be an anthropologist, but it was too late to learn the right word. I grew up curious about people, language, culture, origin and all about humanities. My fulifilled dream was to finished a college degree, though I love my course that can be connected to humanities but studying that course demands much money. But so much more, I have fulfilled a part of my dream. If I would have children today, I will instill in their mind to dream big and high!

I know what I wanted to be and I know for sure that there is no way I will acheive this, I wanted to be a princess, princess peach from super mario to be exact, I cant remember why as she was always getting captured, I think I just liked the long blonde hair and the fact that she always had a pretty pink dress on. So no, I will never become this, and dont even have blonde hair so not even close lol! Apart from Princess peach I have never known what I want to be, even today I still dont know what I want to do.

I have never reached my dream when I was younger, that is because I finally changed my mind. When I was small I have always wanted to become a doctor. I said to myself I will help all the sick. The very famous line of children. When I growing older I've come to realize that I simply couldn't be a doctor. I just couldn't face blood and the mere sight of it made me panic and almost faint. Then end of my dream has been official when one time we were in the hospital to visit an aunt. We were in the lobby outside the emergency room because another aunt was asking something to the doctor when a man was rolled in. He was a victim of gunshot, he was not covered well and he was full of blood and almost dying and I can almost see his intestines. It was the yuckiest thing I've witnessed and the scariest I supposed. From then on I said I don't want to be a doctor and I will never be a doctor.

When i was young i dreamed of being a scientist but as i grew older i see that it is impossible for me to be one cause i lack the patience that scientist have and also i lack the financial capacity to be one. Then I just dreamed of being good at what I am now and surprisingly, I am. I can be whatever but in the end the only thing that matters is being the best person that you can be in a situation that you are stuck in. I dream of having my own house next year and I know by the end of the year my own house will be built and i will be able to say that i did it, finally did it! With all the sweat, tears and hardwork my dreams, if not that unreachable for others, will come true, on my own terms.

I used to say that when I will grow up I will become a lawyer and today I am a student of law in my third year and waiting for a final year to end the studies so I made it to the reality, It was a dream at that time and only my father believed in it now everyone is believing that I am doing it finally. It need only a step to make it happen and you have to believe in your dream yourself to make it happen.

...it is the dream that lead us the way, if we don't have a dream, we don't know where and what to do. We just follow where the wind blows us to.

When I was kid, I wanted to be a policewoman, but unfortunately, I don`t think I`m able to do heavy physical exercise. Then when I was in high school, I said I wanted to be either as teacher or journalist. Now?I am a teacher, used to be a reporter for a production house that still maintains idealism despite the fact that there are too many programs that only follow what market wants. I teach in an English course and in-company training, but I don`t know maybe I`ll teach at school later

I wanted to be a footballer (soccer player in the U.S.A) thats all I wanted to be. If i'd have had some motivation about me and pushed myself I think I could've made it to the lower leagues. However I didn't push myself because I was scared of failure and failed anyway. One of life's lessons learnt there.

When I was in the elementary school, I al ways tought that I wanted to be a mechatronic engineer, I really liked the robots and anything that is mechanic. Right now, I´m starting the college and Mechatronic is obviously the career that I choose, and I don´t regret. So, yes, my dream (almost) have came true.

It's so funny because when I was a kid, my dream was to become a firefighter. I was playing with water hose and focus it on plants imagining that those were fire. I was happy remembering all that. Now that I'm a matured woman already, I realized that as people grow old, their dreams are changing according to what kind of life that person wants to live.

When I was a child I wanted to become a lawyer. I have to admit, I am now fully grown and I am not a lawyer. I was not able to fulfill my dream. Something came along the way that shifted my attention. I may have not become a lawyer but I am very much happy and fulfilled to what I am now. I sometimes wonder what if I have become what I wanted to be... But I think there is no more time for me to do that now. But what is important is that I am satisfied and happy of what I have achieved so far...

I always wanted to be a doctor. I've tried as hard as I could. The long hours hitting the books, the lack of sleep, my results was great, I was one of the top in my class. I took an aptitude test and was one of the few students who made it into the interview. In the interview, I failed, crashed and burn. I totally screwed it up. Now I'm studying to be an engineer. At least I did one thing right.

When I was a child, I wanted to be a teacher. But when I grew up, I was not a teacher but rather an IT person. I was able to reach it because of determination, dreams and love.

Oh yeah! I remember what I wanted to be " a fat gramma with big boobs." I was three years old and I knew what was important. And yes I have filled that dream ,I'm the proud Grandmamma to EIGHTEEN and Greatgran to Two. The fact that I'm also fat with big boobs is not my real wish today. So it's diet, diet diet but I love the grandma part.
