Do you usually comment back on your own questions?

Hey guys... I am just wondering if you must respond back to every comment been posted to your own discussions!! Actually, I very seldom do that because I very seldom log in though i'm trying to get myself here regularly to comment back, but I hardly meet the line!! It just makes me look weird to comment back after one week or more :( Do you think it is fine or we have to comment back? what about you?

Hi smiley. As you've probably noticed by now it isn't required. Though if you want to keep your discussions active as well as have a good rapour (?) with fellow mylotters than it is a good idea to comment back. Plus, we do earn from it, so why not take advantage of it, right? Oh, and it doesn't really matter when you comment back. So long as you make the effort to comment back that's all that really matters. Though at the same time try not to wait too long, otherwise members may think you forgot all about them. I myself do usually make it a habit to comment back to posters, although sometimes I don't comment to every response that I get, especially if there are a lot of responses or I just don't have anything further to add. But for the most part I try my best to respond to what I can. Good luck and happy mylotting!

Hi Smiley, Yes I do try to respond back to most of those that take the time to respond to my discussions. Why? Because it is polite and it is what makes a discussion a discussion. Don't worry about the length of time it takes. Some people just don't have the time that others have to be on here. Also, If you start a discussion and do not respond back to people you will not earn from that discussion.

hi Sid!!! yeah i just realized that we earn from the comments we post on our discussions..but i'm wondring, would the earning differ between short & long posts? or the earning is the same no matter how long or the short the responses were?

I do comment back to the posts of the people to my discussions. But only if it really makes sense and if it really needs commenting, if you know what i mean. For the former, if the topic says about this thing and the reply was about another thing or was not really helpful, i would either rate is as a negative or not comment/reply at all. However, for the latter, if the topic has already finished, then there is no more need to comment back. It like when a question was asked or to be shared then the responder commented something that sounds like there would be no more follow-up questions, then i would not reply anymore. But if the posts and topics have been for weeks or months, i do not check it already since they also do not check it anymore. Maybe a 2-3 day duration for replying to older discussions.

I always comment back if the response calls for it. But there are some comments that I just can't make out or inappropriate. I leave those comments alone. But I do read through all the responses I received. In your case, I don't think it look weird to comment after a week or more. It just shows that you appreciate the responses of other members. Of course, you don't have to respond to all of them.

I just feel bad for not commenting back! as i don't get in here regularly.. I really wish so badly to comment back after my Mylot friends pay the effort to respond to my discussion! I feel commenting back shows an appreciation..but I just can't find myself doing that every time as I don't sign in regularly :(

Hi smiley83, I would try my best to leave comment to every response I have received in own discussions. If I don't have considerable time to finish doing this I then would add comments whenever I have spare time later on. I did take several weeks to finish commenting in the same discussion with quite a number of responses received. It's quite normal to add comment whenever having free time. There is nothing weird as I had received comment on responses I posted for months long. when typing this post recalling me, there is still one response box in one of my discussions is blank. Happy posting

Really happy to read your comment here smiley83 To me it's an honor to receive comment in my response box. If having time as well as having some more thing yet to share with. This is the only site I come across, where we have the opportunity to have mutual interaction with beautiful people from different parts from the world. It is a great fun available here to have continuous comments on interest topics for people who have common interests. From my previous experience as a college student it's so busy when assignments are given that we have to accomplish in specified time. Lol...it's no harm to spare a short while here to get refreshment after exhausted with the heavy loads of assignments Have a nice day

There is no thumb rule as such to reply to every comment but it does encourage interaction. I have seen many discussions where 2 friends are replying many a times. That’s very good, ultimately we are interacting to each other and that is beneficial to all. I recommend replying comments if there is ongoing discussions and no settlements on thoughts.

I have not made many discussions, but when do, I always comment back. This way, if the other person feels in a talkative mood, we can chat a lot about the subject. When I comment back, quite often no one responds. It's OK, I don't mind though. It would be nice to have a chat now and then, and sometimes I do. =D

sharing conversations - it feels great to have someone to share conversations, really makes life more exciting.
oh,smiley! i know most of us here have different jobs facing them everyday but we all try to find some time to take here in mylot. as for me, i always comment back everytime there were responses i found in my discussions. if it really needs to continue the conversations, well then go for it. sometimes interacting with others make the discussions more interesting. even sometimes i also do comment on other's posts even if it's not me the starter of it.i'd like to know more of the person's views and thoughts to make ourselves more interesting here and discuss things exciting. no matter how long it is,one week is not far enough,my friend! when you do start discussions,it's really nice to have spent some time on commenting back on those responses you've got. it really do makes sense to comment back specially it will be highly appreciated by the responder, and hoping that someday in your next discussions, they'll be there to respond again and again. we all are her to type and earn, right? so if you don't comment back and respond, how will you earn? it's just a matter of taking time. one step at a time. if you have not much time for commenting back, try the next hour/day,until you got them all commented back. have a great day,my sweet!

I try to keep updated, although sometimes I do forget about them as I like to keep busy responding to discussion which are within my E-Mail account. I used to respond to each and every response I received but sometimes I could especially when it seems the member didn't really read the discussion. Some recent one's I haven't responded to but when I get time it's on my to do list.

Usually I comment back on my own discussions so long as I have responses from friends. I have made it a habit to do so, but sometimes if I happen to read one that is difficult for me to understand, I will leave it for some time till I figure it out and then respond to it. It does not matter when you respond to it. To me, it is very important for both the poster and responder to be interactive in the discussion. Take care, smiley.

I think its a good practice to comment back, after all this is all about discussions. Can you imagine having a discussion with a friend in real life where you make a statement they respond and the discussion is over? On lunch break at work, our discussions go back and forth for the whole break. I'm not sure if that gets you more money, but its really about the discussion where the fun is. Of course the rewards are nice in terms of the money, but you are also rewarded with other mylotters knowledge and insight. I wonder how many people even take the time to read the responses to the discussions they start?

Yes I comment on my own questions and I like it. It shows that I am respondent and that am awaiting an answer. It also ensure that i am communicative or suggest that I am desperate. It always helps to be communicative and very much engaged.
