I believe that miracles can be achieved through our religious beliefs. However, I find it hard to believe that any one person can perform a miracle on another...especially when it comes to the laying of the hands on someone to cure them of illness. Of course, nobody believed that Jesus had that ability back when he walked on the earth. I think that we ALL have the ability to create our own miracle through our own deep beliefs.

Oops, I forgot to say that I think some people truly believe they have the ability to do what they say & some people try & scam those who need a miracle so desperately.
I think the real clue is whether they perform their talent out of love or for monetary gain.

If you have ever had a real miracle happen to you then you will know it is not a magical trick! NO person can perform a miracle, miracles are a gift from God given to the receiver, to glorify God, to show others God's power, they are an answer to prayer for some. They cannot be explained if you do not believe in God.
The only way you can be cheated is if you are paying a person to have God perform a miracle for you, then yeah, you are being cheated, but you are not being cheated by God but by the person claiming to be able to perform the miracle for $$. You do not need to pay a person to pray for you for a miracle you can pray yourself, ask others who believe in the power of prayer and are Christians to pray for you. Prayer is free, it is an act of faith and belief. Miracles are not powers given by God to certain people to perform for profit. They are a gift from God.

Yes I believe there are modern day miracles that occur all the time and I also believe in the laying on of hands to cure people. I also believe a lot of times people are using it for their own personal gain also. Even in the disciples time there was Simon the magician who tried to bribe the disciples and contended with the early church and caused a lot of grief for early believers from his tricks. Science (with quantum physics) is on the verge of understanding these things like never before I believe.

Hi bodnath, Many years ago I read an article in either Life magazine or Time, I not sure which. Two journalist did an investigation into religious healing. After their study they found just places where there were real miracles that could not be explained in any other way. Thees were the Roman Catholic Shrines and in Christian Science. Blessings.

A miracle is pretty much defined as something good happening to you that was completely unexpected. It has to do with unknown and uncontrollable forces changing to your benefit. No one can control a "miracle" happening, but because they do from time to time, someone decides to take credit, and then they use this to cheat people.

Miracles were done by the prophets with the God's permission now we have no prohets to come.Todays miracles are not miralces they are just tricks.those who can worship created thing like idols etc instead of true god(who is unseen and has no shape or form) will easily belive the tricks as miracles.
