If you have a business, or still starting one.. what business would you want to have?
Further, with your new business, what type of employee would you want to hire? Let's just say you're interviewing someone for the job, what characteristics, attitude, insights, personality, and educational level are you looking for?
Are you eyeing on college graduates? Someone with high academic records? A lot of extra curricular activities?
How about work experiences? Are they important to you?
Are you going to hire someone who's intellectual level is higher than you? or perhaps lower than yours?
What type of employee do you think would best fit the job you have for your business?

if i am an employer..the type of employee i would like to hire..are first HE HAS A good SMILE..a real smile..for me its a reflection of being positive and being friendly..
1.if a person is a positive..he/she wont stop what matter the stress and situation..
2.if a person is friendly he/she can easily find happiness to hi/her job..
Second is education..he/she must have a knowledge on what he will do..but of course I am not expecting he/she now everything..
as to Experience,i rather have a new graduated rather than an experienced worker..he/she may used it against me..and second there might have a point of comparison as to the system i implement and the system he/she used in the other organization where he/she previously work..he may always complain,or wrongly apply what he/she used in his/her previous company instead of my system..
intellectual level..much better if the intellectual level of an applicant is excellent in his/her certain field..let say in marketing stuff, engineering stuff etc..

I have a manufacturing business and I am employing 50 or so people in the factory and office.
I look for different criteria. If I am interviewing them for office job or customer care, they need to speak English fluently without accent. I don't give much importance to educational degree. I always ask them what their hobby is and what they like to do for relaxation. I look for people with active life.
It is another story with factory workers. I look for honest and hardworking. If I am interviewing experienced people, I have to first see their work. I've met lots of people who said they have the skills and experience, but cannot do what I need them to do. Some have no experience, we train them up.
To sum up, I look for integrity, willingness to work hard and honesty. Educational Qualification is not very important for me.

If ill have a business, ill choose tshirt printing and design company. I would personally hire employees that are hard working and trustworthy, i might also hire those relatives of mine so i can help them in their life too, the kind of employees ill choose also depends, since my supposed to be business is tshirt printing and graphic designs, i dont need educational level of employees on those printing jobs, and for the designing and other jobs on my business, i need to hire employees that have skills and hardworking, and also experienced, well i might hire some apprentices for my business too. Both educated and uneducated people can fit into my job, for printing and for designing, also for secretaries and might as well for agents to find some people interested in engaging in our business

Just be sure that all your relatives goes with you... remember that TRAITOR is just around the corner, you can sometimes see it in your friends or your workers. Most of the time it is our relatives who brings us down especially when they notice that you are progressing.

I have different businesses to choose from but I like to venture on the agricultural sector the most. Food is a basic need and not only that, food is considered by ancient Chinese folks to be our first medicine. Aside from this, I cannot understand why there are so many businesses around that world yet providing food to people is a problem. Shortage in food was never addressed properly through several generations in our history.
Regarding the employees, let me first discuss one by one the common traits that I prefer in choosing them.
First, I would like to hire people who share the same passion for providing food to the world. I consider this the most valued trait of an employee because it gives me (as an employer) more excitement to do this venture knowing that they are here to give their utmost which in turn motivated me too. Without this, an employee will not pursue perfection in their tasks.
Another is that I want them to be honest. Betrayal of trust is not acceptable at all and I do not wish to destroy everything I build just because some tend to be corrupt. Those who do not believe that they will benefit more for being honest are fools.
Then, they should have flexible ideas which will surely fit every situation. I cannot choose A or B. What I want is that we can find ways on dealing with the specifics with specifics too. It is better to be the master of many forms than to be the master of one large solid form.
Speaking of the specifics, I want one (or some) employee/s to be experienced in cultivation, from breeding to sowing and from harvesting to milling. They should have experienced drought and survive that lean year. They should know what plant grows on which soil. They should have an understanding of the ecosystem because I believe that controlling pests and maintaining a fertile land must be in harmony with nature.
I also want to hire people who have knowledge in business. After all, we are doing business here. However, I want to be cautious on choosing employees here. I cannot trust the management to the (traditional) capitalist because they will always insist that the company should move to the direction which they prefer. I don't want a company that devours everything in its path just to maximize profit and minimize cost (even when the balance is ruined). I want those how are willing to experiment on different approach in management and reflect on these matters thinking of the bigger picture.
More than the above mentioned, I also want to hire people who will assure me that they want to be a part of this because they think that it is their calling. Although expertise is very important and that educational attainment is worth considering, I still feel that we can find people that we truly needs when we do not limit ourselves within a certain constrain which I believe to restrain true development. This is not a weak stance because as far as I know, dream and determination counts twice.

There must be some educational and in some cases experience related conditions.
Rest the biggest thing i would love to have in my employees and that would be the loyality , honestly.
Because after certain period of time i could know the abilities of them, and even they could learn but if they are not honest with me. How can they contribute..

Let me share my opinion from the point of view of a human resource practitioner. In seeking for the ideal employee would depend really on the type of business one is engaged in. If you are the technical field then you might need highly technical people; if in marketing you may need people with aggressive marketing know-how; if your business demands skilled workers then you may need employees with particular skills to do their jobs; and if you are in the service industry people with experience and training in rendering efficient and quality service may be what you need. But in all of these different fields in business there should be characteristics in people you need to hire that are common to all; and they are: loyal, trustworthy, dependable, aggressive/hardworking/industrious achievers, cooperative, and friendly personality.

In any business I would like to have an honest person, I would recruit a person who has creative thinking, I don't care about his education qualifications because sometimes highly educated people have only knowledge from the books, I would like to have a person who has knowledge from his experiences.
Ya, I would like to hire someone whose intellectual level is higher then me, I also don't care if his intellectual level is lower then me. My first eye would be on his honesty, then his creative thinking, then his experience etc...
I would mostly look for honesty, I would evaluate that how much eager the candidate is to speak truth in usual life, do he insist others to speak truth? As e these are some of the virtue the employee must have.

I think if i started a buisness it would be working with people, children or youths probably.
I would like to hire people who are dedicated to work to the same vision as i have. they can have their own reasons why obviously, and i'd love it if their motivations were different, as we probably would be able to shoulder problems better that way. I'd want someone who was honest and reliable, even if they can just be relied on to tell the truth about how they had faild.
I think character is more important than acidemic intelegence, so i'd look at their experience and their willingness to become what the company needed, not just what they want it to be.

I am now starting a real estate buy and sell business. I started with one lot last year. Last December I bought a house and lot at Tierra Nova Royale in Caloocan City with a lot area of 90square meters with easement of 20 square meters more or less and floor area of 30 square meters. I am renovating it right now and I am selling it at P690,000.00 only. I don't have employees to pay i just invite sales agents and workers for the renovation. For sales agents no need for a high degree of education. Everybody is welcome. I have also in my listings condominiums, townhouses, house and lot and more.

Someone who is loyal, of course we can't say if that person is loyal overnight, try to do some tests. That way you'll be able to know his real color.
