In some countries, children are engaged in some kind of paid work. Some people hold the opinion that it is definately wrong while others view it as valuable work experience and things like that. What are your opinions?

I think, once they are in secondary school, it is good if they are given some opportunity to work. Being paid to work is a great way to motivates them. It is a good experience too. They will learn to appreciate the money they earned. My only worries is, some might prefer to work when they see monies and lost focus in studies. It is good that they have part time job during school holiday. I have two nephews who are exposed to working experience during school holiday. They are very successful now due to the practical work experience that they gain, they are more mature in their thinking than those at their same age group without working experience. Cheers and take care :)

Children at the age of studying if engaged in work is a wrong thing. But during his highschool studies, in his free time if he doing paid work it will be very nice. Studies together with earning makes children more active and self motivated.

I think it is good, there's nothing wrong if the children works when they are free. They can get experience of the working environment, they would understand the value of money. But the focus must not be on the earnings, the focus must be on the study and enjoying the childhood situation. I think childhood situation is the big Money of our life, we are not gonna have it again. So I would say that doing some work part time it is Okay, but focus must be on the study and childhood situation. Let the child enjoy his most valuable time which he is not gonna have in future.
