I love Davao.
The biggest city in the Philippines and one of the biggest cities in the world, Davao City offers the comforts of city living while retaining the rural feel (and even look) in some of its areas. One of the great things I like about our city is that you’ll never get bored in this city. There are simply many places to go to and there are a lot of sights to see.
Next week will be Kadayawan Festival (the festival of all festivals), I can't wait to party!
Have a nice day :)

I agree with you... Philippines have many places to relax and enjoy nature.
Hope you could also explore Cebu next time you visit here, there are lot of beautiful beaches here in Cebu... and also you could also enjoy diving at Moalboal...
In Davao, just try to eat the Durian... its very good and nutritious food and the delicacy of Davao. And also there are lots of new tourist attraction there... Hope you would enjoy here in the Philippines.

I am very fortunate to have a husband who is a wanderer. His previous job requires him to travel to different places in the Philippines. He sees to it that we get to explore the country once a year.
We've been to Bohol & Cebu last year. We only went to explore old churches & historical sites like the Magellan Cross in Cebu. We didn't get to explore Cebu's beaches like Bantayan Island. Just a ferry ride from Cebu is the island of Bohol, which is one of my top tourist destination in the country- we get to see the chocolate hills, the tarsiers, old churches, the man-made forest. I just love the Loboc River cruise. The scene along the river is stunning. Then we had an overnight at Panglao Island, a stretch of white sand beaches. You can have a choice if you want to have the party atmosphere, take Alona beach, or if you want to just be one with nature, take the stretch of Dumulnuan Beach or Bohol Beach Club. There is also a high-end resort in this area which is Escaya. There is also a new attraction to Bohol, which is Danao. If you're the adventurous type, then this one is for you. You can do mountain climbing, bungee jumping & falling on a zip-line.
Then came Palawan, this year. The place is equally stunning. We just explored Puerto, Prinsesa Palawan- we saw the Underground river, we snorkled at Honda Bay, we had firefly watching at night, we did a mangrove paddle tour, we ate mangrove worm which the locals call tamilok. Their coastline & limestone mountains are beautiful. There are so many activities to do here. My cousin who is based in UK, says they'll come back again next year & explore Palawan, specifically Coron & El Nido.
Our next stop next year would be Davao. The Philippines is just a beautiful country to explore.

Many people, including Filipinos, do not like Mindanao because of the perceived danger there. However Mindanao is a large island with many cities and I like Davao City as a place that I would like to retire to. My wife comes from there and can remember when it was one of the most lawless cities in the Philippines but that has all changed now. Davao has one of the recognized best police forces in the Philippines and has repeatedly been selected in the top 10 most livable cities in Asia. Now a very modern city of 1.5 million people it has all facilities you need . Davao sits on the shores of the Davao Gulf and has the famous Mt Apo for it's backdrop. A short ferry ride takes you to the Garden Island of Samal with the famous Pearl Farm Resort. Davao city, a wonderful place.

Here here! I love Mindanao and I love Davao not because I live here but I can say that I am always safe and secured every time I go out.
To add, Davao City is the most peaceful and one of the best city in the Philippines. The beautiful, white sand beaches, the different kinds of fruits, like mangoes, pomelos and the famous durian. I admire the friendly people, the malls, nice hotels, and very affordable stuff. I love them all, there's no place like home.
I am looking forward to visit Pearl Farm again this November. I am so excited.
Have a nice day :)

I was stationed in the Philippines four years and in that time I was lucky enough to travel a bit on the Island of Luzon. My favorite place was in Laguna Province. Have you been to "PAGSAHAUN" (sp?) Falls? To me that was "PARADISE"!
It was one of the most beautiful trips I have ever been on. It is a boat trip via dugout canoe on a river that goes through the middle of it. It is simply "BEAUTIFUL"! There are 14 rapids you go through. It is a four trip up river and only and only about two hours back. What "FUN"!
Another favorite spot of mine was "BAGUIO".in the mountains. Nice and cool and a great resort even now. Do you know that place?

Yeah i know the place... I been there for 3 times but it change a lot from the first time i've been there... today "Baguio" is already crowded unlike before...
I've been also to Bacolod City, where you can find "Mambukal Resort". It is also nice there. It has 7 falls and also a hot spring... There you can also enjoy nature. ^_^
