We have to admit that companies seldom offers products that are cheap but has a good quality. Most good quality products are expensive. When buying something, do you go for a cheap one? Or for a good quality one?
For me, it depends on the product. For example, when buying clothes, I am okay with cheaper but has a mediocre quality since I want to replace old style clothes often. But when it comes to gadgets, I prefer expensive but good quality ones. For food, it depends.
How about you?

For me its quality. I have been in situations in my life where I could only afford to get cheap things, and I've had times in my life where I was fortunate enough to be able to afford to get more expensive things. What I've noticed comparing the two types of products is that you get what you pay for. Its an old saying, and I feel it is so true. Yeah you might be able to find some really cheap shoes that look decent, but how long will they last? You'll probably end up buying 2 or 3 pairs in one year. If you had gone with the more expensive; better quality kicks, then you would have actually saved money in the long run.

I look for quality in my shoes. I believe our feet have got a lot to contribute with how we perform at work and in our day to day lives. For something to wear at home I would rather go for a cotton tshirts but one which are not too expensive. Sometimes some brand names tend to mark up the prices of their products. Good food doesn't have to be expensive either.
I would say depending on what one wants and how one sees things, price and quality are the two options one would have to weigh.

When purchasing a product, quality should always come first. What good is a cheaper price when the product itself is a waste of time to buy. Check for quality first. You won't be sorry that you did.

As far as I am concerned, I think I look upon on the quality of the things that I am going to buy.I think the quality matters so much in my life. I just do not want to like use the things that in poor quality that I may just use it for a very short time. Sometimes if the thing is so expensive for me, though I think it is in good quality, I think I will not buy it at last.

For food, since we take it inside our bodies, we have to consider the quality very carefully. But when it comes to clothes, I could go for the cheap ones but I know a store that offers quality clothes yet cheap.

it depends on the product too. I am go for the quality of the product and some products that have been tested for quite a long time. When it comes to food there are cheaper foods but taste good. For clothes, I do buy in Greenhills as there are many clothes that have quality and you can get it for cheaper prices. For gadgets, in order for the product's service to be true you must trust the branded once as the service is lifetime depending on your use.

For me it will be quality but then the manufacturer should not take the consumer for a ride just because it has a high brand image - of course the pricing should always be right too; and at times I have bought cheaper stuff which turned out as good or even better than the higher priced so called 'better quality etc""

well, for those with a limited purse, the price matters. but for those with deeper pockets, quality may be a primary consideration. but, of course, that's not all the time. because some of the moneyed people are stingier than those who have less. also, there is also extravagance among those with just-enough resources. but on hindsight, quality is cheaper for the long haul.

for me., i prefer to quality and inexpensive price or maybe worthy price.. :)
before i was so very impulsive for buying a thing., i don't care if its so expensive,. all i want is a branded and the design i love.. because before,
i thought if the things/stuff is branded or expensive its have a great quality,
and i was wrong., one day i bought a expensive dress,
after a few weeks washing this dress, the dress was fade and loosen.,
That's why from now on i must prefer to quality and inexpensive price :)
and my boyfriend taught me how to find a dress with a good quality but inexpensive..

for me, both matters.. the product's price must compliment it's quality. because at this time, we must go for products that will provide great benefits rather than costs. we have to consider ways on we can maximize our savings and minimize our costs.. like for example, when it comes to clothes, i don't go for branded, i just go for wearable and comfortable ones. and when it comes to buying foods, i go to the wet market instead of supermarket, because it is less expensive there, yet all their products are fresh from the sources..

Yeah, There are still somethings that cheap with good quanlity. those famous brands have good quanlity, and how is the price you can image!!! Those small brands with good quanlity and price, I always ask for some small brands from my freinds or colleagues, then I will keep them in my mind and visit them when I am free. HAHA, The feeling is so great after buying good quanlity with good price also......

my philosophy is for things that would be for long term, like gadgets, i would definitely go for quality.. your already spending quite a sum of money why not go all the way? For short term items like cloths and pants, mediocre quality is the way to go. As for food, I go for quality, i don't want to put any junk into my body. :p

i recommend quality over price.. it is better to spend money for the rite thing.. then you will love it.. other wise it will spoil your time with the product.. because we love our choices..

I guess I'm just like you, it depends upon the kind of product. If I'm going to use something for a long time, perhaps like a bed, of course I'd go for quality. Even if it may be expensive, as long as it will last a long time, I'm okay with it. If I go for a cheap bed which might break down in only a few months or years, then I'd end up spending and wasting more money.
When it comes to clothes, I'm also okay with the cheap ones and those which have fairly nice quality. Clothes easily go out of style, so I really think that it's impractical to buy expensive branded clothes that you may only get to use a few times.

To me, both are equally as important. My main price/quality contemplating comes in the grocery store and it comes to the simple task of trying to balance out what is the best quality for the lowest price. This means, while you may not be getting the cheapest product, you will be getting a good quality for the cheapest that it is available. There's no point in buying something that isn't going to satisfy your needs completely because then it is kind of a waste of money.
