Online Earning Put Into Good Use

I got paid by the different online sites that I worked on. My online freelance job, mylot, squidoo, and ads from my blog. t5his is extra money I was thinking of putting into buying new shoes or clothes but then as of yesterday some people I am connected with decided that we open a dog shelter in our city. Inspired by PAWS we drafted some ideas on how to run this shelter. We are right now in the planning stage and also raising money to support this shelter. I placed all of my extra money in the bag and I feel it was put into good use than buying new stuff. 2 vets decided they could alternately volunteer their time and we are planning on getting some volunteers to help run the shelter since all of us members have full time jobs. I hope we get to finish this sooner as there over 300 dogs in the dog pound for death row. We also need a dog trainer to volunteer. Hope we find one as there is only one we know of but he cannot donate his time as he has his own training center to run.
At the end of the day we were all happy and hopeful. We plan on rehabilitating these dogs and placing them in good homes. This will be the first of this kind in our city. We expect some oppositions from people and other sectors but we are prepared to face this as this is a non government project. I know some people will say that we need to put the money in opening a new orphanage and the likes and they are just dogs. But we aim to pursue this at all costs because there are a lot of displaced animals all over the city that needs help.

That was a very inspiring act to be followed by others. You sure is a good example or a model for us who wants to earn online. I don't really need money that much for having this online earning but now I realized that I can somehow do something like that too. Earning money that could help other people out. Too bad I haven't received any payout form the site that I've joined in. Good Karma would definitely go and bless you. May you continue your good works candyfairy!

Thanks dear for your kind words. I reached payout after 2 months lol because when I first started I did not know how to go about this. But in time you will reach payout too. Yes it would be great if you could use the extra money to help someone out or an institution that supports a cause you are passionate about. This will give you inspiration to help out more.

Yes u have raised a pertinent point. With most people who earn even small amounts online they tend to spend it on unnecessary purchases. Sometimes even small earns can be made into a bigger capital for investment. Like i do. I invest the money i earn online in a chit fund which amount i then invest in other business to earn more. Its a wonderful gesture that you are using ur earning for a noble cause/ My wishes with u

This sounds like a great cause especially considering that you said the pound in your city is a kill shelter. I think that there shouldn't be kill shelters and since there isn't already that alternative, what you and your friends are trying to do is a great thing. One thing that I would suggest with your project is that you make sure that all of the dogs that you all will be adopting out to be spayed or neutered before you adopt them out so there won't be more unwanted pets.

Yes we are thinking about it. But there are some people who don't want spayed or neutered pets. hmm... don't know what to say yet about this. I'd like to weigh things out before commenting and voting.

Bless you my dear for being kind to animals specially dogs. I too am a dog lover; I was born in the year of the dog. But I have a question about this project of yours: is this for business or a non-profit endeavor? If it is a business venture, how do you earn from it? Just asking.
Can you please share with me what other online business you are into to earn and get paid aside from those you mentioned above? Thanks.

It's great to know that there are some people like you who show concern over the dogs. I salute you for sacrificing a lot; you wanted a new shoes or clothes but you opted to shelve your money for those uncared dogs. Kudos for you and I hope you'll be successful in your endeavor. Thank you dear for your kind words. Lolz... don't mention about the shoes you know I;m a shoeaholic! That might trigger it lola. I wanted very much to replace the shoes my dog chewed on but they are too darn expensive and I was thinking that there is better use for my money than buying a $500 shoes ( don't want to convert it , it scares me and makes me sad). But I am happy now with what I have decided and I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

I've always wanted to be a PAWS volunteer but the I cannot devote my time cause I have only saturday free time plus the fact that the place is very far from mine and I don't have an extra money for the transportation and my meals. If only I am rich, I will definitely go with you guys. How I wish there is something like that near San Pedro, Laguna or Alabang maybe. God bless you all!

PAWS is so far away from me lolz. I live in the visayas region but I donate to this organization. Instead of waiting for PAWS to come because I know they cannot since they are also a self sustaining organization. So instead of waiting it to happen we make it happen if we wanted change in our city. Perhaps you can organize people in your place and make it happen. That way you don't have to go that far.

That is a very good concept to share your earnings. I hope you could get some sponsors to help you out on some matters. It will be good if you also have them aside from your team helping each other.

What an excellent idea and a wonderful project! I do hope you get everything sorted out, as it would be an amazing thing to do. I love dogs and have got our last two dogs from rescue centres. Good Luck! I hope it succeeds.

thanks karen. I hope so too that it succeeds. I hope we get a trainor soon and get all funds and resources like dog food, and grooming tools. the construction of the shelter is also one things we are discussing right now. We have limited funds and since the area is not so keen about dog's needs we don't get support yet. We are still taking the fund s from our pockets. I hope there would be good samaritans who would be willing to help.

Hey, it seems you made lots of money. Well good for you!! I will suggest you should hire a body guard ,with all this $$ you make you never know LOL.
If you decide you want a body guard, let me know that's what I do fo living.
For mylotters there is no charge , just small donation.

Can we call that philanthropy? The word philanthropy means giving back to the society. Is it applicable to animals and not only for humans? The word philanthropy?
