have you ever performed Heimlich maneuver

Hello mylotters, anyone who had done Heimlich maneuver or abdominal thrusts to save his/her family members, relatives, or anyone to save his/her life? How'd you feel about it after performing? were you trained to perform it?

I was a medic for the US NAVY and yes I had to use it once. Its a nice feeling saving someone's life, but really scary at first while doing it.

I know how to do it but i haven't done it to anybody yet. And i hope it won't have to come to that. Lol. :) have you?

yes I have done Heimlich maneuver. In my field of study,knowing this method is a must. Doing it & seeing that the thing that choked the person you are helping came out of his/her mouth makes you feel so proud of yourself that you have save a life because of your knowledge about this method.
