Well the outcome now is......
The Owner came to see me this morning, apparently so my Neighbour tells me she was here last Night I never heard the Door, but.................she had the DOG with her, so my Neighbours who where still sitting outside, told her that they do not think it is a good Idea for her to bring the Dog to my Place, that I might want to see her but not the Dog, when I was told this earlier I nearly fell through the Floor
Anyway we chatted, she was all concerned and sorry, I told her I was forced to kick her dog but due to my Injury and because I do not have a lot of force behind me I did not kick him hard and I only kicked him because he had my Dog pinned to the Ground by his neck, I told her Gissi's Health Problems and that is was my main concern, she said oh no do not worry I would have done the same if another Dog attacked my Dog, I even told her if the Police asked me what action I want to take that I will tell them as long as she muzzles him and keeps him under control that is fine by me, she agreed to that and thanked me
The Police came this afternoon, they asked me if I wanted to press charges then it would go to court and the Judge will decide what is to happen to the Dog, she as an Owner would have a Criminal Record or I could sort it under what they call a Neighbourly charge which means, she will be told her Dog is not allowed out at all without a Muzzle or Lead as he is classed as dangerous and she would be cautioned, so I said, yes I will go for the second one, so they got me to sign it, then went round to her House
An hour Later I got a call from the Police, to tell me, she is refusing to sign it, she is not happy I kicked her dog, she will rather get arrested go to court and let them put her Dog down, I stood here with my mouth open, what happened to the concerned and sorry Lady from this Morning? How can any Dog owner decide that
The Police have said to me that there is a 95% the Judge will order for the Dog to be put down, I am so shocked it is unbelievable, she will be arrested once the Police have got my Statement, then a Court Date will be set
This upsets me, that she can be so cold Hearted and two faced
She will also be cautioned not to come anywhere near me, as the Policewoman who spoke to her was concerned how this woman had said she was not happy
I mean, if this had been your Dog would you have made the Decision she did?????
If she wants the Dog put down why does she not take him to the Vet and ask them to do it
I am shocked really shocked, I just can not believe and to me she is a strange Person, I do hope she realises this could also mean she is never allowed to have a Dog again because most of the time that goes with the Decision of the Judge
I feel for the poor Dog but I did what I had to do and there was no need for it to come to this

Maybe she thought that since she talked to you, the police would not be involved, then when they knocked on her door, it got her hackles up. Did you show her your leg?

What a strange and sad case. I imagine she is driving the dog crazy. She is definitely not right in the head. It is not your fault this has happened, Gabs, but you need to be on the lookout for any other strange behavior. She is just too strange.

this woman is absolutely crazy, I think her problem is that she thought everything was settled without the police involved and when the police showed up she got scared and angry. What a nut case.

What a shocker!!! I am amazed at the about face of this woman. You were so generous with your offer. What a two faced person and she should not be allowed to have any pets. GRRR! Now I hope she does get a criminal record. Perhaps she has taught the dog to be aggressive. My small dogs are the one who try to show off to my neighbors large dog, Cody, but he (the big dog) is a really nice dog. I am posting a photo of Cody with a chihuahua (not one of mine) on his back.
BTW what breed of dog is the culprit!

I think that unless the dog is feral but kept as a pet and is vicious it is because the owner made him/her that way. Even a trained watchdog will not attack unless commanded by the owner.

She's about an idiot!! The very idea that she brought her dog w/her to see u after what her dog had done. duh!!People never cease to amaze me. She doesn't deserve to have a dog to start with. U do what u have to do & don't worry about that idiot. Hope u told her u expect her to pay for your medical treatment. I think she needs to be put down w/her dog.

She sounds like she is off her rocker. If the dog had been mine I would have had the dog put to sleep. I won't own a vicious dog or one that I can't trust. That dog is vicious, this isn't the first time he has attacked. Next time someone a kid or animal could be killed. Apparently the lady didn't learn about keeping track of her dog. She should be thankful that you were being so nice about it all and asking her to keep a muzzle and a lead on the dog. Now with her stupidity she will probably be in trouble and the dog will probably be put down. As for you kicking the dog, is too bad you didn't have a ball bat with you to knock the dog in the head. You know I'm not a dog hater, I am an animal lover. Dogs like that loose are dangerous.

Hi gabs, Don't feel too bad you did what you had to do. It's true that it did not have to come to this but it isn't your fault. Sometimes it's very difficult to understand why some people act the way they do and this appears to be one of these cases. I too feel sorry for the dog but I don't feel that there is anymore that you can do. Blessings.

Oh, she sounds like she's wacko in the head, bringing that dog over to you? I'm guessing she was over your house to get your sympathy so you wouldn't press charges, and she found out you are a kind lady, apologizing for kicking her dog. She's completely taking advantage of you, and now it is up to the courts. I'm sure the dog will be put down, as it should be, and she is harboring a vicious animal. It's unfortunate, but this was her choice, not yours gabs. You did the nice second choice because of your kind heart. She took the other road, and the decision will not be in her favor in the least. You did what you could do.

gee whiz. that is so true. i can not imagine how shocked you must be. some people are just nuts i wonder if she has a specific mental problem. sounds like multiple personality disorder. she obviously dont care for her dog at all. does she live with someone? a husband or something? maybe someone influenced her. it just seems strange a person would turn from dr. jekle to mr hyde like that.

I sounds to me like she receieved some advise from someone. Maybe they told her she will have a good chance in court due to the fact that you kicked the dog and that caused the dog to injure you. Who knows? But I am always suspicious when someone changes do much in such a short time.

Gabs, I would have done what you did. I would have hated to see it go to court, because the chances are great the judge will order the dog be put down. The dog doesn't have a "chance" with this owner...she sounds unstable to me. Now, all you can do is pursue it in the court... If the lady never can have another dog again, that sounds like the best thing to come of this... Good luck! (What kind of dog is it that will probably be put down?)

Oh Gabs, that woman is being an azz. She knows what will happen by going with the choice she has made. I know the police told her the same thing they told you, exactly to the word about what will happen to her dog and her.
It's just as we both said when we spoke on the phone, it's not the dog...it's the owner. Now you know for sure it's the owner. She would rather have her dog put to sleep than to have him there in any form or fashion and all because she is made that he got kicked.
She is not thinking about the dog, she is thinking about an action that was taken against her dog. If it were my dog I'd dog whatever I had to do to keep him around. If I had to muzzle him and have him on a chain and anything else I had to do...I'D DO IT!!!!
I kind of think what may have happened is that she told a friend or two or three what you told her and they got her all stirred up about her dog being kicked and now she is all bothered by it.
All you can do Gaby is hope that by the time that you go to court that she changes her mind and does want to sign those papers to save her dog.
I'm sure the judge will give her ample time to change her mind because this is a drastic decision.
I'm sure she will change her mind if she truly loves her dog.

Hey gabs~ Again! OMG! WTF! This woman is a whack job! Maybe she
is really afraid that you will turn around and sue her? No,
then she wouldn't dare go to court! If she just doesn't want the
dog, which is obvious the way she keeps letting him out loose,
the, as much as I hate to say this because you know how I also
feel about the shelters, take him to be euthanized at a shelter!
Why bother going to court! This whole thing is so bizarre! She
should have been thrilled that you didn't want to sue her, take
her to court for MONEY for PAIN AND SUFFERAGE! DOH! This woman
is dumber than dumb! I just hope that you are feeling better!
This really is the strangest choice! You now can change your mind
and sue her azz! And I think you would be in your right! Even
though you signed the papers, since she didn't you might have
the right to change your mind too and I would just on her stupidity
alone! (I don't know the laws that well, and certainly not in UK)
But, I love you and Gissi! Love, Leslie, Star and Luna

Sweetheart this is becoming a Nightmare
I shall let you read it yourself what is happening now I should know the Verdict late afternoon
If she gets away with what she is now trying to do ( which I don't think she will, but you never know)I will end up in Court and they could take Gissi away from me and forbid me to ever have a Dog again that will kill me
Love you to Sweetie

No they can't take Gissi away! He didn't do anything! The other
dog attacked him! And then you! Both you and Gissi are the
victims! Her dog wasn't harmed, although you shouldn't have
told her you kicked him, but it was to save Gissi and yourself!
You are still the "victims", have the police report and the
hospital report to prove that the dog mauled you and Gissi!
You will not be blamed! Damn it! I was a legal secretary for
over 20 years and this case is simple to figure out who was
in the wrong! This dog (her dog) was off the lead, alone, and
attacked you and Gissi, you have a witness and she is Sh1t out
of luck! No Court would ever take her side and I'm sure they
are going to take the dog and put him down and it's her fault
for letting him out again! This is the second attack on Gissi
and again you had witnesses both times! Don't worry Gabs!

Hi honey. I haven't been around on mylot for a few days and I'm sorry to only just now be hearing about your dog bite. You poor thing! How are you feeling now?
The sad thing about situations like this is how a bad owner makes for a bad dog. I believe all dogs are naturally good. But when they are mistreated, they become sad and angry. I wish there were more responsible pet owners out there. I hope she is never allowed to have another dog. She'll just ruin another one.
I hope your leg is healing ok honey. And I hope you're mind is recovering too from that traumatic event.
