In a way yes, most women talk more than of men although there are also women who are very silent and secretive. As for me, airing out ideas is one of the means in expressing my opinion. Sometimes, i get annoyed also to very talkative girls specially if what they are talking in of nonsense..

Funnily enough, I actually believe that the majority of the time, Women are far more likely to talk more then Men.
I can see this exact thing between my girlfriend and I. She often will talk for a very long time be it on the phone or in a conversation to someone whereas a lot of the time my phone calls are very brief unless it is a really close friend. It seems to be an almost subconscious thing
Women just seem to have far more adept social skills then a lot of men. Yes, this is a very stereotypical view but I do believe that it holds some merit in the society of today.
There are no real disadvantages or advantages in my opinion, it is just the way it is. Women seem to have developed that way to be more social and open minded.
I am interested to see what others think of this, it's a very debatable topic and I foresee quite a bit of controversy to be based around this discussion.
