Hi
I am Sue and I am a Mystery Shopper
What is it?
Mystery shopping is nothing more than market research used by large companies who pay you to do the research. Your job is to collect information on how regular shoppers, JUST LIKE YOURSELF, are treated in stores and resorts.
Were the staff polite?
Was your hotel room clean?
Did they ask if you'd like Fries with that?
If you can answer simple questions such as these honestly, you are mystery shopper material. There are absolutely NO special requirements. Everyone's a shopper, and anyone can become a mystery shopper.
Not only that -- The market research company also PAYS YOU for your trouble!
Today I have to go into town to a travel agents, I will ask a few questions, e-mail my results, it will take me 15 - 30 minutes and I will earn £6!!
Mystery shopper jobs range from large department stores, to beauty salons, to five-star hotels, to large supermarkets, to fast food restaurants,to adventure parks!
Any money you have to spend is reimbursed together with a fee ranging from £5 - £25
This is so easy to do and can fit into any lifestyle.
If you are interested just Google Mystery Shopping and whatever your country you will find various sites.
I am with GAPbuster Worldwide and Retail Eyes.
Give it a try!!

Thanks for your information. If they have so good reputation I think I would like to try it. Later when I have time I would like to search on the site and to see if I can work for them.
I need to go out home to know people and the life around me, if it's not too chanlleging it would be a good chance for me.
Happy mylotting.xx

Hi Sue,
I am a mystery shopper too from time to time. I have also worked with many businesses. It is an amazing world and it can be rewarding to know that you are helping a company provide consumers with better customer service.
I have gone to fast food restaurants and taken measurements, I have visited gas stations, I have also done counts at movies for a weekend event.
You have to be careful though, there are so many scams out there, it can be overwhelming to sort out those that are scams and those that aren't.
Sounds like you enjoy the work and that is fabulous. Have a nice day!

How do you know if it's a scam or not? Is there a site I can get a list of legit companies for Mystery Shopping?

I always wanted to be a mystery shopper. I have looked into it for India but there are not many. The ones I found are good only for major cities like Delhi or Mumbai.
When I first joined some sites, I checked regularly but there never is anything for my city. So I stopped checking them.
I really wish I could get on it.

Yes, I did mystery shopping for a couple of years with the company Retail Maxim. I enjoyed it and did lots of fun assignments like having my hair cut, buying things from a bakery, looking for a pram in a baby care shop, loads of things. Sometimes I felt a bit bad about lying though, I think I am a bit honest, but I just pretended it was an acting job!
