Ok, time for roll call, how many Second Lifers are here at MyLot? How long have you been in Second Life, and how many avis have you had along the way?
And what do you do? Primarily building and business stuff, dance, explore, or roleplay? And if you roleplay, which genre?

I've been in Second Life for 1 year and 4 months. I've mostly had just my 1 main account with several different type AV's in it. Recently I created an alt for a more family type roleplay. My main account is female. She can be human, neko, demoness, or furry bunny. She can also be herm when I choose to be as well. I've also had several jobs either freelance or within a club setting depending on my mood or needs at the time. My newest job prospect is selling homes. Hopefully once I start I can start rolling in the dough... or L$ rather. hehe. I've done plenty of roleplaying throughout my time at SL and it varies but is generally more adult themed, including a stint in a Gorean Pirate group. They've all been experiences I'll treasure including the people I've met along the way and I'm so thankful for all of them. Second Life is more than a game its an alternate reality where someone can be whatever they want without real life's rules, restrictions, and realities getting in the way.
Check it out some time. (www.secondlife.com)

I'm in Second Life! My account is just over 3 years old, but when I first created it I couldn't play because of my video card at the time was not supported. A year ago April I went back and tried it again, using my original account and I was able to play, and I haven't stopped since!
Second Life for me is an amazing experience to make friends and hang out and have fun. I have started to design clothes in world, and I hope to get good enough to open a store at some point.
I am big on SL families, it's kinda role play like, but to be honest, the family I have in SL have become more like real family. I have a prim baby in world, and I am about to be married in SL in June, although haven't set a definite date yet. And me and my Fiance in SL are also going to be adopting in SL.
Before all this, I RP'ed as a teenager in SL, which is actually how I met my SL Brother, who has become basically the brother I never had, we met while going to a High School RP.
I have a few kid AV's, one that I use now, sometimes. I really like the carefree, less drama of being a kid in SL, but not all the time, because it can get lonely.
I also have a male AV, just for fun, but I don't use him much, especially now that I am engaged on my main AV.
Second Life is definitely a little more than just a game for me, it is a way to experience things that I haven't been able to experience in RL, and it's great to make friends, especially the ones you end up close to, who you know you will keep in contact with on Facebook or instant messenger if anything were to happen where you couldn't see each other in game. It really does take a lot of the pressure off of socialization, people in Second life either love you or hate you solely based on your personality, sure, your AV is part of it, but I have found that how one's AV looks has little to do with how you see them, and whether or not you want to get to know them. It's really great, I actually wish RL was more like SL.
