To me is just another form of prejudice. I am a left-handed person and proud of it. But many cultures believe that left handed people are evil or different from right-handed people. I have a friend of Indian culture and he told me that they call evil things the "left-handed twin". I found this to be quite interesting. This is no different than the color of my skin being different that yours- it doesn't make you any better or worse than me, it just makes you different- which is OK to be.

Hey Vishkris- sorry you were forced to use the othre hand! That is how it used to be when parents found their child to be left handed. It has always been a bit of a taboo subject.
Kellysun- couldn't agree with you more. People never look into the science of things before assuming that just because something is different- it is evil. People need to do more research before condeming us left-handers!

Interestingly , I've noticed many left handed persons receiving things from the right. I think it's just a natural instinct ..not that it's not natural to be receiving things from the left too. But it's more commonly natural to see someone holding out their right hand to receive something from someone.
Being either left or right handed... I think some people have the ability to write from the left totally or right totally. There are also people who are able to write with both hands too rather well. I have a friend who is bonkers at trying to write on the left.
The pen will drop each time no matter what , while another friend who has not practiced writing from the left at all can write well using the left hand and being right-handed all this while. However, those that could write with both, does not necessarily mean that they will be holding out both hands to receive something, LoL. Good topic here.

I used to be left handed, I remember when i was in kindergarten, I tried to write using my left hand, but my handwriting turned even worse. Then my mom taught me to write using my left hand. When I was in elementary school, I wrote with my right hand, but I did some other activities with my left hand, still.I have a left-handed friend who is talented in art, and he is s graduate of design product faculty and now he creates toys for toy shops.

I'm a right handed and I share the work to my left to be fare which can also write but not as good as to my right. I haven't seen anything wrong to those who are left handed coz I have 2 brothers who are left handed and their handwriting is naturally good.

I am right handed, but I have been told that I was supposed to be left-handed. I can also write with my left hand (though not as legibly due to lack of practice). Whether you are left-handed or right-handed, it is just a hand and it does not make you any better or any worse than the next person. If anyone is giving you trouble over it, vishkris, I would shrug it off.

I am a right handed person. My best friend in high school was left handed. I was jealous of this at times. I wanted to be left handed too. It was special to be different.

Like this situation is hard to explain. I think that is the natural response. I am a right handed person. I heard that left handed people are clever which is true or not, nobody can prove.

For lefty people(studies have show)are more CREATIVE ,have a richer imagination and find innovative solution to problems.
People who are left handed...right brain hemisphere is FASTER.
In this hemisphere is nervous center of memory .
They can learn a language very quickly.

Yeah I am too a right handed person. No one that I know of is a left handed person in my family. But i do have a few left handed friends. And at school I have also made an interesting observation, that many artistic people are left-handed. I do not think this is a coincidence. Also I have played baseball for a long time and have always noticed subtle differences between left handers and right handers. Next time you watch a baseball game on television watch for these things, when a left handed pitcher throws the ball to home plate why does it seem like they are usually slower to the plate than right handers. Also why do almost all left handed curveballs have a wide sweeping curve to them, while right handers can throw a sweeping curve but more likely a hard bitting curveball. When you watch a left hander swing they usually pull the ball to right field, that is why many defenses play the shift to the right side of the field with the third baseman playing where the shortstop usually plays, yet there are no right handers that teams play a shift against because they usually have a greater ability to hit the ball the opposite way. Some of this stuff just confuses me and I wonder why...although one thing is for sure, right handers for life :)

I am a right handed person. My right hand is stronger than my left hand. But when I was younger, I can even write using my left hand. There are other things that I can even use my left hand more often than the right. But I really find it very cute those people who can right left handed especially when I was way back in my college years. Our desks are only designed for right handed people and those who are left handed have difficulties and I found a solution just for my one seatmate so she can write better.

I am predominately right handed but can do much with my left hand. The reason behind or left of right handedness is genetics. The fact of the matter is approximately 25% of the world is born left handed as it is a recessive gene. The reason we only see about 10% of the world using the left hand is that the other 15% are trained to use their right. This starts at a young age as they watch their moms and dads and learn to hold a fork, pencil, ect.
As far as the receiving of money in your right or left hand, this has to do with an old wives tale. It had something to do with receiving it in your right meant that you would have wealth for a long time but receiving it in your left meant you would squander the money.

Hello vishkris, I am a right handed person, our family are all right handed too. I don't have any idea at all about left handed person receiving money with their left hand. It doesn't matter if a person is left handed or right handed at all. Maybe they just have their own beliefs.
happy mylotting to you.
