Sautéed with Ginger!

Among my favorite chicken dishes is one where you sauté chicken with a few crushed garlic, chopped onions, and chopped ginger. Then pour water enough to make a broth, boil everything until the chicken is tender, add some salt to taste and some moringa leaves and sliced raw papaya--and presto! Hmmm! Eat it with rice or as a chicken soup!

That sounds absolutely mouth watering :) I adore ginger and garlic with pretty much anything and am really into healthy kind of cooking like this, plus it's simple and quick, that's a always an added bonus.

yup, same here. i love not just the taste but the smell of anything with garlic and ginger. Sometimes I drink ginger ale and relish its rich flavor and gentle coolness in my throat.

Hi there Lowly Cook! That sounds like what we call "Tinola" here in the Philippines. My favorite chicken dish would be "adobo", I can't really explain clearly since I am not a good cook but what I do is to fry the chicken first, then saute it in garlic, pour some soy sauce and then some vinegar and put some bay leaves, pepper and maybe some pineapple.

hi nanayangel! on our planet we also call it "Tinola!" if rooster is used for the cooking, we call it "Tinali!" i guess we live on the same planet--planet philippines. taga-saan ka ba? sa manila din? kumusta na? biruin mo, nagkita tayo dito! oy, mukhang masarap ang adobo version mo, ha! mahilig kasi akong maglululuto kaya mahilig ako sa masasarap na dishes. Someday, soo, I plan to include Pinoy recipes and my own special recipes on my own website. Oh, I just love my website! see you, nanayangel! TY!
