Rizal who lives in a fishing village Musi Banyuasin, Indonesia, smokes at least 40 cigarettes in a day. He got addicted to smoking after his father gave him a cigarette when he was just 18-months-old, He's totally addicted. If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. The officials of the village have offered to buy the family a car if he quits. What is happening to these days kids, few days’ back I read about 10 year old boy involved in rape case and now smoking. Can we say everything is possible?

This is an absolute disgrace and the child should be taken away from the parents, in fact I think that they should be arrested for abuse The child can not be blamed, he needs help now

Child is not guilty at all, its father who started and should be punished. Thanks for the response.

I saw the video for that. It looks like some internet viral or other. Its almost unreal. I cant believe that the father doesnt care either. He said in the interview that the kid is happy and healthy and he doesnt see what's wrong with it. The poor little thing is 4 stone though! I dont see how that is healthy!

As of now or may be for some more years he might be ok but coming years would be definitely a bad dream for parents and the boy. Thanks for the response.

Hmm.. I may sound blunt or something, but I don't really care as long as he or his family doesn't influence my family and my environment. I don't care if the kid smoked pot or whatever, it's the family's problem. If I were the government, I'd go attend to more important stuff rather than give this family the time of day. I would be more worried about the 10-year old rapist than the smoking toddler.

If I have the ability or the position will jail the father for this. He is the one who started this and should be punished. We do not care about others life but this is something not acceptable at all. Thanks for the response.

That is totally ridiculous. Grownups are having a hard time quitting this vice. This boy at a very young age is smoking and I believe that this should be stopped. It is not going to be good for him, he should be learning good values.

You're right. I'm also wondering why these cases are being done by youngsters. I've read in a tabloid that young teens have been involved in a murder. Kids these days are starting to lose their innocence over the worst things the world has to offer.

Hello ajay, parents play a very good role to children. They should be the model to them. What Rizal's father did was so bad, he led his son to smoking habit which we do know that smoking is one of the precursor of all deadly sickness in today's living lifestyle. He didn't show a good example to his son, making him delinquent at such a young age. If children seen their parents doing bad habits like drinking too, tendency they will tell to themselves why my parents doing it I can do it too. If the village is offering such reward it is good but I think it is very important that the child should be brought especially his father also in counselling. It is always the parents who will teach their children the good lessons in life. Everything is possible if it's not prevented.
