Do you have accounts with Facebook, Yahoo and Tweeter? I do. And just today, I noticed that Yahoo is giving me updates to my friends tweets and status from Facebook and some of those status updates were being sent or modified from Tweeter.
I updated my Yahoo status and my Facebook status was also updated. I also made some tweets at Tweeter and they were posted at Facebook.
Who among these sites started this kind of system? Do you like this kind of system of updating your status or would you allow one site to get information from your other account in the internet? What's your view on this?

I am very weary when it comes to allowing one website to get information from another website. Like for instance Myspace, myspace warns us everytime we go to another site from their network that we should NEVER enter our Username and Password for myspace to any other website. that being said, I would trust an email client before I would trust an outside source. AOL let's you log in to your yahoo email, so I could look at yahoo and my aol email without going to yahoo.com.

SAves you from having to do updates in 3 or 4 different places, I think it's cool...

As long as you have the choice. Some things I post on myLot, I wouldn't necessarily want to have posted on Facebook.

I like it to some extent but I really wonder how easy a hacker could get all this info. Convenience on the internet tends to scare me.

But, if they can get into one they have all three. Still makes me nervous sometimes.

i think facebook started it all. now everybody is following it. Twitter is an awesome platform to just keep people updated about your status.

I have been doing this for well over a year, perhaps close to two years. I have 3 accounts linked up. If I update something on one of my Squidoo pages, then it gets Tweeted at Twitter, which is linked to my Facebook page, so I get it spread through two extra sites for the same effort as doing it at one. I also have my Youtube account linked to my Facebook account so that updates go directly there.
I have a Yahoo account as I am on Flickr and am part of a couple of Yahoo groups, but never use Yahoo other than for them. I think that linking these accounts is a great idea!

there's a quiry in the other box above. is it possible to make a status update at Facebook that will automatically update or send a tweet to tweeter?

I do not think that Facebook updates go the other way. Most sites have themselves set up to update at Facebook as it is so large. So Facebook updates going to smaller sites does not really make sense.

yes, very effective if you are also in a business and you can promote it to more sites with just one site being monitored.

Yes I do have accounts with Facebook, Yahoo and Tweeter.
I enjoy facebook the most. I like updating my photos and wall posts. I chat with my friends there too.

i have to open my yahoo account so i can monitor any email coming in, especially those coming from mylot. i seldom visit tweeter though but with yahoo, i can see new feeds from facebook so i also do not have to be in facebook always.

well, actually it's Yahoo to Facebook or Tweeter to Facebook. it just happen that i said, 3 sites but actually it's Facebook status that is updated from either the other two sites. so you can also try to post an update of your Facebook status from Yahoo.

I have noticed the connection between all three. I don’t venture into these sites all that often. Facebook is the only one I take a look at every now and again but that’s about it so it is hard for me to say whether this new set up is good or bad. I suppose it’s a positive if you’re active in all of them!

Hi Neil,
I do have accounts with those 3 you mentioned, but I'm not so active in any. I do visit my FB account from time to time but never on a daily basis. Tweeter, on the other hand, is something I have forgotten(I should check it out one of these days). I feel that tweeter is boring(sorry) unless you are a big celebrity or somebody famous for whatever reason that so many people follow you. I have a Yahoo email account but I didn't know about this feature. As to your question, I think if I'm so active in these sites I would want this feature, as it saves so much time and effort as opposed to updating each site individually.

actually, i am more active on Yahoo since it is my email provider and it is my mylot email address too, that i have to be logged-in to Yahoo while mylotting to monitor my notifications. i seldom log-on to tweeter though and with facebook, i log-on a few times during the day to check friends status or request, if any.

Twitter has compatibility with most famous and popular netwroks. I tweet on twitter and its reflected on my Linkedin Profile. My friends who are not on twitter can see my tweets and comment on that. This is good way to connect many at a time even if you are not signed in on all the networks.
I have Yahoo, Facebook and Twitter account and its good integration.

yes, the integration of these sites is really wonderful and amazing. one can see the tweet even if he is not on tweeter, and so on.
