I recently finished painting and stenciling our dining room. The top is a pale (almost white) yellow and the bottom is a medium blue. My youngest son's room is next on the list and I have it already spackled and the tiny area's taped off. I will probably put the undercoat of kilz on tomorrow and then follow with two coats of the soft green he picked out. Once I get it painted, I have all the laminate to lay a new floor. It willl be great to see the finished product.

Great looking work...green will be nice...did you know that green is the color of the year...I work in a paint store and that is one of my most popular colors, it and yellow. People are being a little braver this year and trying bolder colors like red.
--------------------------------------------------------------
For those who are thinking of trying red as a color a little tip for you:If the color is dark use a medium grey primer, you can have this tinted at your paint store. If the color is light to neutral use a primer tinted to 1/4 of the color formula, this trick can and will save you a lot of paint and frustration.

In India, individuals do not carryout the renovation of a house. It is only construction workers, carpenters, interior decorators, electricians and other concerned people only take up these works.
I have enlisted you as my friend and I expect you to to respond one of my discussions everyday as I have done for yours.

sssh121 Yhanks for responding to my discussions, and for enlisting me as a friend, but please do not expect me to respond to one of your discussions everyday. I will respond to discussions if they are interest to me, and if I am able. I spend a lot of time on the internet but not all of it here in Mylot. If you post discussions of interest to me I will be sure to put a comment in whenever I can. Please do not feel the need to respond to all my topics.
Thanks again for responding and bieng my friend, Greeting to you and your family from myself and my family in Canada.

Not doing anything to the house we live in now .... but partner has a house which is rented out. Last year we pruned all the trees around it plus planted some more flowers as well as some shrubs .... and because the tenants do not seem to care too much we installed a watering system and told them to use it. They are good tenants in that they pay the rent on time every fortnight but are a bit casual about the outside of the place .... if they didn't pay the rent or care about the inside of the house we would turf them out ... but they are good about those things and there are a lot worse out there.
Tenants went on holidays for 2 weeks .... during that time we had someone in to renovate the bathroom plus we painted and papered the lounge room and also painted one of the bedrooms. This year when they go away again, we will paint the other 2 bedrooms and get some work done on modernising the look of the kitchen .... better to do it while they are away ... they aren't in the way plus makes it quicker and easier at those times.
