Why does God never intervene?

God intervenes when He deems it necessary. If He had not intervened the world would be much worse. But He does not intervene all the time at this time. If you read the Bible you will find out that there is a huge intervention (the mother of all interventions) coming soon.

As an atheist, and a scientific/logical person, I may have to say its because I dont believe God exists. sorry :(

Maybe the reason God doesn't intervene in such matters is because we have told Him we don't want Him in our lives. He doesn't go where He isn't wanted and He's not a genie popping in and out to grant us our wishes when we call Him. If we worshiped Him and kept His commandments, we would be blessed, but we choose not to, so we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Hi joniebee, we think God is the ruler of this world but he isn't. After God created this world he got himself busy creating a new world. Satan took over to restore it to its formal semblance. We think God is punishing those who are evil; but no, Satan is meting out the punishment to those who are evil. First, he entices us to know our inner thoughts. Then he gives us a long rope so we hang ourselves with it. Therefore, we find the people who are evil enjoying. Why do I say Satan is the ruler of this world? Didn't Jesus teach us in Lord's Prayer to say, "Thy kingdom and thy will be done on this earth". We say so because God's kingdom is yet to come. However, we have God's word to console us. We know that one day He himself would come to judge and take all those who deserve to the new world he has created. Jesus told us that He would come to take us to the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, do not let all this worry you. God would indeed come to strike down the evil.

He doesn't strike down evil people because He is a God of grace and mercy, full of hope and love yet they many despise, reject and even hate Him. God is love, therefore He can't help but love, love does not destroy but continues to hope. But God judges the evil. Sometimes this may come in disasters. Bad things happen because no one prayed. God could not intervene because he said, in the beginning, the man will rule the earth. Meaning man has all the authority on the earth, that's why He is hands down when it comes to earth. He cannot touch earth unless man will allow him to. How we allow him is by praying. So if people wont pray then God can't move.

Hello, joniebee actually you asked a question which a lot of people asked but if you read the book of the God you will not ask these of questions because the God already answers them . As creatures the God create us to worshiped him and he is the one who create the whole messengers Adam,Eve,Noah,Hud,Jacob,Joseph,....Jesus,and finally Muhammad to show us Why we are alive in this plant who is the God and why he dose not interfere and helps the hopeless people . In this world the God is watching us and i don't agree with the people who said he leaves us and busy to create a new world how come he will create a new world while we are still there. No I don't think so if you read the Quran ,or the Bible you will find out that Allah "the God " create different people the rich-poor , strong- weak ,healthy-unhealthy,leader-worker..etc and he lets us live together helps each other .Although, he can helps us ,but he do that to see who are the good people from the bad people who will follow the Satan and do bad deeds. there for, he puts a lot of Obstacles in front of us such as Earthquakes Volcanoes,....etc to show who are the helpful.If you Believes in the last day ,you will find out that the people who die in those obstacles are not poor because if they are good people who worshiped the God and do what he said in his book will be in the heaven . that's why there are hell and heaven( Also no one will die before his day that the God write for him and one will live for ever) .And how said that's Allah "God" never intervene . Actually if you really really need Allah and you pray for him from the deep of your heart he Will be there for you like how he always dose when i pray for my sister to survive from a horrible accident. I agree with you sometimes he dose'nt intervene ,but do you know why not beacuse he is busy or such excuse (He IS THE ONE WHO CREATES THIS COMPLETELY WONDERFUL WORLD BY HIMSELF THE SKY THE EARTH AND EVERY THINGS )DO YOU THING THAT STRONGEST GOD CANT CONTROL US AND BE BUSY HOW COME)However, he wants to see how we can act are we going to steal kill to life or try and find a job and helps others .Also , those disasters show us how powerful Allah is and we must follow his rules to live in peace and ease . I HOPE FROM THE DEEP OF MY HEART THAT MY RESPONSE BRING THE EASE TO YOU AND THAT WAS MY FIRS RESPONSE IN THIS WEB I HOPE YOU LIKE IT.

There are modern day miracles nearly every day. But maybe the bigger thing is God wants a people who will intervene. We can't see the beginning or the end of a thing or know why bad things happen sometime maybe all we can do is the right thing when bad things happen.

Hi joniebee, God is all that is and all life is one with God. You seem to think of God as a man or woman up in the heavens looking down at all of us. I think that if there were such a person than he/she would intervene. We must look around us, everything in the world that isn't man made is natural and things happen just as they should. There is reason for everything that happens. I don't understand it and neither does anyone on this earth but maybe we will someday. Right now it is our job to do everything we can to help the victims . That is our work here - to help others. Blessings.

Perhaps you have a narrow view. Are disasters 100 per cent bad??? Isn't there good that also comes from disasters. Look closer. Why doesn't God strike down evil people??? If He did, what would they really learn??? Freedom of choice is a must for learning. With bad choices comes consequences to show what our choices really mean. When people truly understand evil, they never choose it.
