i used to earn something when my response is chosen as best respond though i havent seen any now a days, perhaps they already took it off. you can't earn something with having a star whether its low or high and it doesnt affect your earnings, its only a reminder to you that you created a good post here and that members like your post that's why they rated you positively, thats why the more good post you have the better ratings you have but sometimes other members will only rate you if they dislike your post but dont bother to give you positive rating once you have a good post thats why you keep on having a very low post but it doesnt mean that your post are not good, its just that some member dont bother to rate your good post. about the task, it depends, as when i have my task i see to it to approved them within a week and i give a 2nd change to those whose not able to follow it, but if its a written task then just understand the owner of the task as they must read them all. though i rather want to received a rejected task if its not approved than wait for a month and expecting it yet its no longer counted. if they dont want to accept your request then just ignore it and go on and dont get too affected with it, its one of the risk in writing, if someday it will get approved then fine if not then at least you didnt expect to much.

The purpose of 'Best Response' is purely for the Discussion Owner to tell someone that their response was the best. There are no 'points' or earnings involved. As 'GoAskAlice' has said, Best Response = 'Boasting Rights' and nothing more. What DOES count, however, is whether you rate a discussion, response or comment with a '+'. We are told that the 'Discussion Rating System' is factored into the Earnings Algorithm. It also affects our MyLot Reputation. The 'User Rating' and the 'MyLot Reputation' are fully discussed in the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx If you have a problem with a Task (or with contacting the Task Owner), you should contact MyLot with FULL details (URL of the task, when you accepted it, when you completed it) using the 'contact' link at the bottom of every page and selecting 'Other' from the drop-down list. Your questions are very valid. I am a complete newbie and would appreciate answers as well. I have scoured the entire site and can't seem to find the answers either. It sure would be nice if the veterans on here would respond to your started discussion, so that newbies like me can assure not make certain errors and complaints I read about. So keep me in mind if your question gets responded to as it interests me as well. Thanks for starting it :)
