I remember when my youngest daughter was at school and one monday I got her up walked to the school bus stop and waited and waited but no bus came, then another mother from the same school stopped in her car and told me it was still the school holidays, I felt such a fool and my daughter was not impressed with me.

Hi, mouse27. I am sorry about your sleep being interrupted. My son had to go to school this morning. He will be getting out this Thursday. This is his last week! He will have an half of day on Thursday. I wished that my son did not have to go to school today.

LOL, I guess you two are not the only one in that boat!! But my kids took the bus and I thought they had missed it, and so did they! So I loaded them in the car, headed to the school, noticed no cars, no busses, nothing, so I told them, "Hey, want to skip for the day?" Of course they jumped on that!! Thought they had pulled a fast one on the school systemthat was until some of their friends showed up later that morning. They told me I had got them good!!

Lol... I am so glad that I am not the only one who has done this... here in UK these days are known as inset days... or teacher training days... I accidently forgot about it, and sat in the car park, wondering where all the other parents and kids were, to be greeted by the caretaker (janitor), who laughed and told me to go home, as the school was closed for students... lol, I joked it off, but I was so embarrassed lol
