Is this happens with you also that whatever you told toddlers or the way you react to their thing ,they also do the same thing like, one day I told my daughter, hey see ahhhh baby don't do this you are very nice, you know if you do like this, it can hurt you. Then after few hours I found that she was telling the same thing to her younger brother exactly with same tone and same way.

Toddlers always try to imitate the elder ones especially of those who are so close to them. Our actions, way of talking, behaviour everything is copied or studied and kept in mind by the children. Even if they dont show the action which imitate us immediately they will reveal it after some days. So it is always better not to talk bad words, or do wrong things, or tell lies etc in front of them

Kids are very receptive when little. :) They will copy everything they see, good or bad. It's simply part of their nature. :P It's cute when you see them copying stuff like that, but it turns nasty when you have friends over and they start swearing, then you hear you little on days after doing the same. So be proud whenever you see your little one learns something from you in that manner, and protect him from learning stuff that can jeopardize his or her character.

i think it is best to act in a way that they will copy the good things. of course, we can not help it when toddlers try to copy us. so it is better to show them good things and behaviors. and it is also advisable that we tell them why we do these things and why not. so that they will not be confused what to do when confronted by the same thing. w have to be consistent too.

my son is 15 months old, and he seems to copy things very well, especially things like opening the freezer door taking out an ice cream, and then showing me what he has got.... he also knows how to start the cycle on the washing machine... he copies what ever body language I use like for example shaking or nodding my head, he tries to copy words. I think that all toddlers are different, but it is a fun experience.
