Which do you prefer, a cat or dog? Why do you choose to love this type? What difference do each have from one another that makes you choose this way? Do you have a pet now, and if so, would you please tell us about him/her?

Lady what reason do you like dog's more? Is it their loyalty, devotion? What exactly is it you like about them?

I would prefer a cat, by far. I am afraid of dogs, and really don't like them, so yeah. I'd rather have a cat any day. I have three cats, actually, and a fish. The cat that actually belongs to me is Patch, and he is very loving. Although he is scared of practically everyone else, he is a great cat and I can always count on him to be there, which some might say is unrealistic for a cat.

Sak, Do you enjoy your cats company? See I'm allergic to cats, well long haired cats. I try to stay away from cats all together because i don't tend to like the attitude some of them throw off. I want something I can hug and love. Then again, my dog gives me a reason to wake up every morning too.

I love my dog. I don't think that I could really have a cat. I feel like cats are not very friendly. My dog loves to lay with me on the couch and play and run around. He follows me around and loves my attention. I don't feel that cats are the same way. They seem to be very independant. The don't seem to want as much human contact. The reason that I have a pet is for the interaction. So, yes I am a dog person.

I prefer to have a dog than a cat. First, a dog could secure your house from the thief. If there were someone tried to get in your house, it would bark. Second, it is more loyal than a cat.

What people don't realize is that dog's don't just protect from a thief, they protect period. There is a bond between the people that own a dog and their dog. One that you will never find with a cat. an example is, one of the reasons i got a dog was to protect myself from my x husband. When he snaps out of his stupidyty and realizes what he's missed he will be back, and the dog won't allow him to hurt me. where as a cat, cats don't care as much. Is more along the lines of " pet me now" and then the wonder off. They are more the one's to come to you for affection and if they don't want affection when you try to give it to you, sometimes the consequences can be teeth sunk into hand or arm..

well I like dogs since they are fun to play with and do not shed as much as cats and cats do not play that much since they are lazy loners that think they are the boss. Also if a theif brakes into your home a dog can bite him and the cat goes maw. Also dogs like to play and please their master.

I don't have any pet as i am busy with my life and can not give time to pet animal. And i don't prefer any one. But i like both. Specially the cat. Cat is more cute then dog that's why i like cat more then dog.
