After 8 months, Japan PM Yukio Hatoyama steps down from his post. What do you think is the main reason for this action? Although I do admire him because others would definitely cling to power (take the president of the Philippines Gloria Arroyo). Have a great day!

He was not satisfied with his ability of being a prime minister, thus, many of his promises have no have no positive development. The move to stepped down is the best choice for him and an honest to mistake act that is good. I think that he is not cling to power unlike GMA.

I highly agree. His move is a huge slap in the face for GMA.

The direct reason why he resigns is that he is unable to fulfill his promise. During the election last year, he promised that if he were elected he would try his best to move a US military base in Okinawa to overseas or other places in Japan. But US government refused to move this base out of Okinawa. Eventually he made concession, declaring that this base would be moved to another place in Okinawa.

I really don't know the exctly reason. But may be he is unable to control his country economy or something else that compel him to resign or may be some other reason. Take care!
