Mylot Is Going Down The tubes!!

You lost the drive and passion that you had for this place. It doesn't hold the same meaning it once did for you. So as a result you try to find fault with it when in reality your interests have changed. People change, and they don't always keep the same emotions about a place. Perhaps its not the discussions, but you in general. Perhaps if you feel that baddly you shouldn't force yourself to stick around. When you and if you rekindle the drive, desire and passion you once had for this place, then perhaps you can come back and feel renewed and rejuivnated and it'll be the same site you've come to love. People come and people go. No, its not the same site it was a day ago much less a month year whatever it is. The fact is, you might have to think you changed.

LOL...a lot of us hang out at another place...uh, Facebook-- and have to admit one of the reasons is that a lot of us also aren't finding outstanding discussions anymore either. And yes, I used to be here a lot and couldn't tear myself away either--usually if I do come here it's to play catch up with discussions I've started and still need to reply to--are you over at FB???

I respectfully disagree. Sure there are times when there are no good discussions. That is to be expected, isn't it? You can't really expect all the members to think the same way and write interesting things all the time. And as with all the sites with members from all walks of life and from all corners of the world, it is to be expected that there will be some members who make mistakes. I know I did, in the beginning. I am just a newbie here, and I love it. I found new friends and learning new things, and I think there are some discussions which really enlighten me. And there are some discussions teaching me about other cultures.

Maybe you're tired of here. There's really little things happen around a single person, you might feel all the post are similar and you have seen them before.

What did you mean?mylot is not popular now?

Alot of the old members have probably left and they were good people with all the good discussions. I know I have trouble finding discussions I like to talk about as well, but then I just start my own. So a suggestion is that if you can't find any then make you're own discussions that will want readers to respond! Best of luck and happy mylottting!

If you're not happy with the discussions, just start your own! That's what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks, and it's been just as much fun as it used to be! Maybe if we all try to add better discussions, more people will come to the site and add more discussions.. then it will be better again!

Hi irishmist,I dont think it is going down or anywhere for that matter. It is at its peak now and there is so much of activity here.There are all kinds of discussions posted here. It depends on you to find the ones that you like , if not post your own discussions...

What do you mean back in the day? lol Actually I think the discussions have greatly improved. When I first came here I thought I had been tricked into signing up on some kiddie site with all the childish questions being posted.

Hi my friend. There are lots of pioneers and old MyLot members who rarely visit the site now. I know and understand how you are feeling; the site will not be the same for you or for me because of some individuals we came across before and we haven't seen them for a long time now. I miss our friends who post discussions that can gather hundred of responses and still going for weeks. However, in fairness to those who are here and the newbies, there are still many discussions that are good. But I think you are bored because you have already encountered same discussions before and therefore you feel discussions are becoming redundant. I rarely participate in discussions here now. Writing articles for the tasks giver is what I always do here. But if there are discussions where I can contribute my two cents worth then I still posts comments once in a while.

really? so far i'm enjoying myself here, but i've been here only over a month. well maybe you can liven things up again.

aw, i just got started, maybe you are just burnt out? i am actually enjoying mylot, but i certainly haven't made much money....

I'm not exactly the best one to comment on this, as I've just started with myLot, but I have noticed that websites do lose their "flair" when they become more popular. You get people who don't really care, you get people who are just there to exploit it, and you get spammers. It's happened time and time again to many a website that I enjoy. My advice like so many others is to just stick it out, the discussions you long for aren't lost, they're just buried underneath mountains of drivel and are begging to be found. Just my 2 cents :)

Just stay away from mylot for a little time.You seem fed up here as you have stuck with this site for along time.It is true that familiarity breeds boredom.So,it will be better if you come back after two or three weeks and everything will look new though it remains the same.it is all in your view.

There are an awful lot of pointless discussions on mylot, but I mjust ignore them. There are though very many excellent discussions. My problem is the worry of discussions getting deleted, that has started to get me down rather thab the awful discussions

Well, I guess it's because people want to write quick, discussions, respond to them and earn lot of money because mylot pays next to nothing. If they paid good, had a system of ratings by fellow users and based on ratings they offered money, may be people would start writing quality content.
