Did you ever make a travel wish list?

I have decided to make a list of the places that I would like to visit and the places that I have already visited. I created that kind of list in one of my old notebooks, but I would like to do it again. I think I am going to divide the list in 4 parts. I want to write down the places in my own country where I have already been and the places that I want to visit, and I want to write down the countries where I have already been and the countries that I want to visit in the future. I think that the last list will get very, very long There are so many places around the world that I would like to visit. Have you ever made that kind of list? Did you manage to visit some of the places from your list or most of them?

i really, really wanna travel. when i was in college, we discussed in one of our subjects, HISTORY, about the old places that held and launched the early civilizations. since then i dreamed of going and visiting places with very interesting and wonderful past. i wanna visit Greece, Rome, Egypt, London, San Francisco, Hawaii, Canada, Hong Kong, South Korea, etc... wehhhh... quite an impossible dream. i needed all sources i can gather to reach these places. yet, considering it thoroughly, it's still very very impossible. so last Feb 2010, i decided i would focus first on visiting the places in my country that we are proud of: Tagaytay, Baguio, Boracay, Camiguin, El Nido, hahah.. and even places just in the neighborhood. weeehhhhhh.. i'll sure fulfill them one after another.

I have the same problems. There are so many places around the world that I would like to visit, but I don't have the money to travel around the world. I plan on saving up some money so that I will be able to visit some of the countries on my list. I didn't finish my list yet, but I already know that it is going to become a very, very long list!

Hi Porcospino, Before i used to do a travel wish list of the places i will visit when i am bound for official travels. i've was lucky enough to visit almost all the regions and provinces in our country. however, it's quite frustrating that majority of the places i went--i was not able to visit the place that I listed in my wishlist. Since most of my travels were official, I only have limited time. So, inasmuch as I want to maximize my stay in the place and go around, enjoy and have souvenir photos of the place’s landmarks I am tied with my schedule. But of course there were also times when I requested my boss for an extension to explore and enjoy the place. But the shoulder the expenses of my extra days of stay.

I understand what you mean. It is not easy to visit the places that you are interested in when you have got a busy schedule. When I was a nursing student I sometimes had the same problem. I had to work in different cities, and I always wanted to visit some of the landmarks or monuments, but I didn't have enough time for that, because I had to work and study.

Germany is a nice country to visit. I have lived in the north of Germany for a short period of time, and I liked living there. In some months I am going to visit Berlin for the first time and I look forward to that.

Hello, Porcospino! I never did it on a paper, but in my mind. I've been Beijing when I was a pupil, and visited a lot of sight spot there, include the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Ming Tombs, Tian'an Door Square and the Imperial Palace. I plan to visit BeiHai Park, the Temple of Heaven, Fragrance Hill soon or later. I visited Guilin and have a good trip to QiXing Rock, the LiJiang River. Guilin has the most beautiful nature landscape in China. I havn't been abroad till now. But I'll visit America, France, and Norwegian. I want to see what the White House, Eiffel Tower like. I desire to watch the spectacular aurora.

I would love to visit Beijing one day. My friend has been there, she enjoyed her trip at lot, and when she got back she told me that she wanted to go back to China on day. I haven't heard about Guilin, but it sounds like a beautiful place.

No, I haven't. But this is a great idea! I've always kind of hoped that I could get one of those big maps that you can stick thumb tacks on for the places you want to go, and places you've been. The sad thing is, it would be completely covered with tacks for places I would like to go! haha

I love to make lists, so of course, I have a running list of all the places I would like to go. I also started to make them more detailed because I would read an article in a magazine about someplace and then not want to forget it later. A lot of people keep lists of all the countries they visit. They actually have clubs for people who have traveled to more than 100 countries and clubs for people who have gone on round the world trips. Another good place you might want to check out is a website called Igougo.com, which is where people recount their travel adventures. I love talking about travel, where I have been and where I want to go. The last place I really wanted to go (which had been on my travel list a long time) was Greece. I really wanted to see the Acropolis, and it was wonderful. The two other places I would really love to go are Egypt to see the Pyramids and China to see the Great Wall. How about you? Where do you want to go?

Living in the United States, most of my travel has been in this country, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada, and Western Europe. I lived and worked in London for several years. I haven't been to Eastern Europe at all, or Asia or Africa or South America, all places I would love to go. Wanting to see Egypt and China I think would be just amazing, but I'd love to see so many other places. I can't really think of a place I wouldn't go except maybe a war zone. My other goal is to get to all the major art museums in the US and Western Europe, so I still have plenty to see even in countries where I have traveled before. I think if you love to travel, you never run out of places to go or things to see and do.

Thanks for the link. I don't know that site, but I am going to have a look at it It was interesting to read about your experience in Greece. I am going to visit Greece in about 4 months. That country has also been on my travel list for a very long time, so I am really excited about it. I am also going to visit Bulgaria and Romania for the first time, and I look forward to exploring those places. When I have been to Greece, Bulgaria and Romania I have visited most of the countries in Europe, and my next goal is to visit some countries in Asia for instanse China, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos.

Making a travel list is very fascinating. It would allow a person to see what kind of places he cares about and values and wants to travel to if given a certain amount of time. I would like to visit Senegal, Canada, France, Botswana and possibly England. I currently live in the United States. I have not visited any of the places on this list but would like to get to some of them as soon as possible. Depending on the geography and weather of the particular country, I would plan some sort of activity to take part within the unique attributes of the country. For instance, perhaps go to a unique place in Senegal or see the natural beauty of a particular place in France. Overall travel is something that people should participate in because it makes them aware of life and gives them a chance to put some variety into their routines.

I also think it is fascinating to make a travel list. A few hours ago I started making my list and it will become a long list I think. There are a lot of interesting places to visit. I live in Europe and I have already visited many European countries, I have enjoyed that a lot, but I think that it could be really interesting to visit other parts of the world.

I have made several different travel wish lists over the years. I tend to go on a particular trip and then chatting to other travelers more places get added to my list. I remember chatting to a guy about my favorite city which is Sydney and he said I would like San Francisco, Cape Town and Vancouver. I went to San Francisco in 2001. I traveled to Cape Town in 2009. I will be traveling to Vancouver this year and I can't wait. Yes, he was right: all those cities are the sort I adore. From my original list I have been to many European countries like Romania and Bulgaria in 2006. I have been to Kenya in 1997. I have traveled to Israel and Jordan in 1998. I went to Australia in 1993, 1994 and 2000. I have been to New Zealand in 2001 and 2002. I finally made it over to the Seychelles in 2004. I have visited the places in the Pacific Ocean that I hoped to like Samoa, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Fiji. Now I have another travel wish list. On it are countries like the Philippines for island hopping and snorkeling plus Madagascar for wildlife viewing. Right at the top of my list are destinations in South America. I wonder if some choices are more realistic than others. Like I wonder if I will ever be able to afford to sail around the Galapagos Islands.

You have visited a lot of interesting places Bulgaria and Romania were on the first list that I made. That was a long time ago, and in about 4 months I am finally going to visit those countries. I am really excited about it. My husband wants to visit New Zealand, and we would like to go there one day if we manage to save up the money for that. Yes, some choices are more realistic than others, but I love to think, talk and dream about the places that I would like to visit

No, I never did. But maybe I should. I haven't traveled much. I'd love to go out of the United States. Maybe I'd go visit Italy or Australia, or even Japan.

Your travel wish list looks interesting. I also think that it could be interesting to visit many different parts of the world. I live in the Europe and I have been to London and Paris, but I haven't had the chance to visit the other places on your list.
