I do. Specially when i saw the call is international. Then i pick up the call though i am in deep sleep. And also other calls. Because may be some call could be important.
But my friend never pick up the call. I told her to don't do this as some important call she can't pick up.
How about you? What do you do?

As far as I am concerned, I seldom answer the phone while I am still sleeping on the bed, which I think will disturb my rest a lot. When I am sleeping so well, in the bed, I just usually make the phone into silience ,in which way, I can get more sleep as I want and ignore others' calling. In my mind, rest usually is the important one.

I do try to pick up the call when i am asleep. The only problem is that i have to wake up from sleep to take the call. And even if i hear the phone ring and take the call from my sleep, atleast for the first minute i will be talking rubbish because i would be still half-asleep. So, its kind of risky for me to take a call while i am asleep, as i do not know for sure what i would say when i take the call ;)

While I do have a habbit of keeping my phone on and by me, I also know voicemail is invented for a reason. If the phone rings and I'm asleep, I may answer it, or I may not depending on who it is. Sometimes (while this is rare) I may not even hear it. So when I wake up I have a missed call and voice mail (sometimes) Most people don't bother leaving me a message.

Nope, because my phone is always put in silent mode during nighttime. I am a teacher, and I have all the baggage of stress at daytime. So when I sleep my phone should be turn off because I need to cath my 7:00 am class everyday.

I answer all calls no matter what time of night it might be. We have a daughter and grandkids who live in another state and two other daughters who live near us with grandkids who may have an emergency. We also have other relatives in our area and would definitely answer their calls if it was in the middle of the night.

I never, never pick the phone when I am sleeping. This is because I turn the phone off. There is no ring for me at night no matter how important is, it has to wait until I am available. For me the sleeping hours are important, when you have a baby there is not much time you can get to rest.

Let me share to you a story about such an incident a few years ago. I was preparing myself for bed, and that time I usually would turn off my phone because I didn't want anyone calling me in the middle of the night. Then I decided what the heck, might as well leave it on for the night so that the batteries would drain.
At about 1am someone was calling and I took the call, it was our family friend asking me if I could reach my dad because her son got stabbed. My number was the first one she saw and dialed due to panic. I went to my dad and my dad rushed to the hospital, he is a doctor.
The son's life was saved because my dad talked to her on the phone and instructed her what to do while they drove him off to the hospital.
All because I didn't turn off my phone.
Now, I'm wondering what would have happened if I turned my phone off?
I think it's important that we keep our phones on and have to receive calls. We don't know what would happen. Not being paranoid and such.

No. I'm pretty sure I'd wake up before answering the phone. No telling what kind of crazy stuff I'm saying in my sleep.

I hate phone calls when I am sleeping. At first, i will think I am dreaming. If i do decide to pick up the phone, I am still sleepy and will be slow to answer. All i can say about answering the phone from my sleep is it had better be important.

i would all depend on who the call is from.. if it's a number that i've been waiting for, then yes i'll be picking up the call regardless of how sleepy i am..

Hi dreamsharmin, it's nice for you to answer the call while you are sleeping, so that you won't miss any important call I always switch off my cell phone before I go to bed. I don't want to be disturbed by any undesirable call from stranger while enjoying my sweet dream. I have encounter such awful situation several times before. It's really irritating to hear the indecent words from the culprit in the middle of the night.
We have a land phone in our sitting room. All my loved ones as well as close relatives and good friends have our land phone number. I will rush to the sitting room and pick up the phone in case it rings harshly and awakens me up from my sound sleep in the wee hours. I know obviously there must be an important and urgent call someone near and close for sure. To avoid from the undesirable disturbance I don't give the land phone number to people whom I'm not familiar with
Take care and happy posting

if its a call even if im in the middle of my sleep and as long as i wake up with the ring then i will answer it as i know its important call, theres one time, an officemate of mine called me in the middle of the night he said his inside the jail coz they went to the bar and his group has fight and the police get them and put them in jail, he called me if i can help him to pay for him to get out, i told him i dont have that much money then he said he has friend who have money but that frien of him want something valuable in return like if i can lend my cp. he knows i had new cp that time, so when i heard it i was so angry and told him ill see him tomorrow with our boss. then next day i file a complaint informing ur boss that he tried to trick me with my phone. besides im not that stupid to lend my cp for him as his just my officemate and besides theres too many of us there for him to ask help with so why just me. then we found out that his really like that, and that he uses so many of our officemate already and so he was kickout from work

Yesterday, I was waiting for a call from my new employer and I was expecting she'd call me 15 minutes after I sent her a massage but she didnt so I fell asleep. She called me 1 hour later and I was stills sleeping and my phone rang but I didnt hear it. I am such a deep sleeper! So even if I wanted to answer the call when I am asleep, I still cant cause I cant hear it.

I do, actually. I'm not usually a light sleeper either. But I'm usually afraid it's something important, like someone I love got hurt. I usually leave my ring tone on high if my boyfriend is out late at night and I want to go to sleep, so if something happens and he calls me, I'll be able to help him. I always try to be there for the people that I love.

I pick up the phone because I believe it is an important call. But sometimes I can't do it when I am in deep sleep. If the ring of call awakes me enough then that the time I will pick it up.
