Seems strange but it true if you doing your work with honestly or sincerely then forget to having a bright future. A single man can't change the world in the huge crowd of dishonest person not only this a honest person treat as a silly person people call him/her a fool guy/gals in the society. This what i derive from my experience till now..what you think.my friends..?

Life is full of ups and downs always remember that and being honest always pays I am saying this from experience. You may face problems for some time but you can always be happy and content that you have not done anything wrong in your life to succeed because it is always to be good to be contented then sleep with a heavy heart.
So do not be dejected because Honesty is the best policy.

It is true that if you are working in a coalmine your clothes are bound to get blackened and dirty. Honest do not get into trouble with others; but those who make an ostensible show of honesty are usually in trouble.
My advice is that be honest but do not reveal it to others that you are overtly honest. It is like alleging that you are honest but they are not.
Remember those who are dishonest they are under Satan's protection. You will find that they get away despite being dishonest; but if you will try to be dishonest, you will be caught immediately. It is not your element; not your domains so remain honest as much as possible; but hide your honesty well from others.

I don't agree with you on this. Well there are two most important things besides some many things and these are Honesty and Diplomacy. Honesty should be with you towards your work, attitude, behaviour and most important your self. But in work cultur or in society you should have diplomacy. There is requirement to understand what to say or what to not.

I too agree friend, diplomacy is what should be used in the society of this world but diplomacy is simply just acting out a character that is not in you, that is sad :(
Being diplomatic can be useful in many situations where you can avoid misunderstanding and other problems but it can be you cannot call every act as diplomatic, can you?

Dude its not like that. For a short interval of time dishonesty may seems like taking the lead, but in the end honesty fights its way out. This thing doesn't only hold good in books only, in practical life also there are many instances which can justify this.It is generally hard for kids to undestand this thing but once you get mature, life presents you vast experiences where dishonesty lets you down.I myself used to be not completely but at times i used to choose easy way out when i was little. But trust me dishonesty will lead you nowhere.

It really pains to read such statements.
Actually, you are not to blame.
The world has become like that.
But your statement 'one person can't change the world' is WRONG. No, one person CAN change the world. If every honest person starts thinking like you, there will be NO honest person in this world.
But, if every honest person, keeps on trying to do his best, then, yes, why not, we can look forward to a beautiful world.
By the way, my profession is such that, I have to be honest, and I am. And, I openly announce that I have never regretted my honesty.
There are times, I have had second thoughts, but they were only for a fleeting moments.

Honesty has its award, it may come late, but sure it will. There are many nasty dishonest persons on this earth no doubt, but they shine soon and vanish never to be seen again..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

You are right friend, making a fake diamond is simply easy and done soon, though it resembles and looks like a diamond, when it is examined it loses its reputation. But a real diamond is hard to find, difficult to shape, and takes time to gain its true value but once it is has there is nothing to destroy the reputation(name : the most beautiful).

An honest person can make it in this world, but being honest doesn't mean don't watch your back or cover your bases.
In everything you do, be sure you are right, keep a written record of any business dealings, and don't take everyone at face value. The nicest person on your list of people may be the one planning your demise. In business do not trust first; it can get you fired, keep you on the bottom of the ladder, or worse. If you find someone is spreading gossip, confront them immediately in front of a witness - in front of your supervisor if necessary. Do not be a gossip spreader yourself. If you try to turn the tables on a gossip by putting out false info, you are no better then they.
In your personal dealings, treat people the way you want to be treated. If they do not return the favor, it's okay to leave and find others who hold values equal to yours.
Good luck.

Well here is my solution. Instead of giving up your honest ways, use your honest energies to fight bake and use their dishonesty against them. Example; if someone is trying to take advantage of you, turn the plan around and turn them in, don't just leave it the way it is and let them find another victim, bring them into the light for everyone to see. This is how I am doing this right now. I got caught up in predatory lending with a dishonest mortgage broker, now three years later, they want to foreclose on me because I cant keep up the payments, because they used false information to push me into the loan. I researched this and found ways to bring all the dishonesty into the light and defend myself. All by a dream I had that told me where to find the answers to how to stop the foreclosure. This was God's way of showing me how to still be honest and get justice. Just keep your life honest and you will win over evil.

It's not how the world feels, it's how you feel. If it makes you feel good to be honest, why let someone make you feel bad because you decided to let them "change" your behavior? Then you decide to feel dishonest and feel guilty, and you don't feel good like you did when you were honest. The only time you feel real goodwhen you are dishonest, is when you pay back dishonesty to someone who was dishonest to you. Who cares what dishonest, evil people think about you because you are honest. The honest person looks in the mirror and sees beauty. The dishonest person is afraid to look in the mirror.

Dear friend, I totally disagree with you.
Because there are so many jobs or personal business that can bright the future though you are honest.
So we should not think about the cruel world to be honest. But i know some jobs or some where be honest never can't bright the future.

i would still choose to be honest..
i don't really care if the world is not. i am not responsible for the choices other people make or the things they want to do. what i know is that i can't stand it when i lie, and cheat..
i still believe in the Golden Rule: DO NOT DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU DO NOT WANT OTHERS DO TO YOU..

I think total honesty can be quite a challenge for most of us as temptation to tell even a small lie is quite strong sometimes.
As a Zen practitioner, I recognize the value of being honest and try to be as honest as possible every day. There is a saying "the truth will set you free" and I believe this to be very true. If we all could aspire to such thing, together, we could really change the world. _Derek

It doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. It's what you do that counts. Do you chose to define yourself as dishonest???? Is there any reward worth that???? Change is a funny thing. It's often slow over a long period of time. Your honesty might change others. If you can be honest, it might give someone else the strength to choose honesty as well.

I know this.. What we do is own a business of computer repair. We assure HONESTY..Certified..Licensed etc. Very experienced. (over 15 yrs) We offer such low prices for labor its unreal. Yet those who rip off people..charge a fortune..do so little for those who need so much. And they are the ones who get the business!! We are frustrated as can be. Do people want to be ripped off? or are we offering such low prices that people don't trust us? We must be the fool in society..for offering such good work for inexpensive prices. Im at my wits end with it. Maybe we should just join the crowd..and charge a ton..and do less work?????????? Amazing how people can be! Maybe the lesson is.. do not be honest..no not be sincere .. do not do good work...and you will always have business?

Ultimately, honesty is a highly valued trait. Now, things could be different in India. In America people who research millionaires, find that honesty near universal factor. People rarely get rich being dishonest. And even those that do, tend to lose it.
Yes, you might be called silly. Evil people, hate good people, because it shows how evil they are. That's natural. If you have a corrupt police department, and an honest cop shows up, the entire department will work to have him moved to another department.
My answer is, be weird. Be different. Be the silly honest guy. That will serve you better in the long run.

Hi friend,
Honesty is a virtue, that is normally imbibed during childhood by parents to their child, because being honest is beneficial, as it will increase your chance of staying peaceful. Honesty or for that matter any value imbibed during childhood are difficult to change. Yes many time honest person feels he has been left behind or not being honored, in society where honest people are less.
But believe me friend, a honest person will never leave his honesty, even in this world which in general have too many dishonest people.
