Will you keep reading actual paperback and hardcover books or will you switch over to electronic or digital reading?

Call me old fashioned, but a book needs to be a book for me to enjoy it. I don't think I will ever switch to digital. I do read lots of things on the internet and on the computer, but those are for work, and some are manuals, etc. To really enjoy a book, I need to curl up with it. I can't very well do that with a computer. I can't afford iPad and I haven't even seen it yet, but I don't think it can replace a book for me.

I will keep reading paperback and hardcover books. I already spend way too much time online and staring at a computer. I think reading an old-fashioned book would be a nice change of pace for my eyes, especially because I like to read before I go to sleep at night. I also like to buy books! It is fun to go to a bookstore and pick a book out. I guess I inherited that feeling from my Dad.

Oh, I'd stay with physical books..I do enough reading online in my writing sites and besides, I like to read before I go to bed and I don't have a laptop, so it would be uncomfortable to bring my desktop to bed..

I really do prefer reading actual paperback and hardcover books. I've always preferred them to electronic readings. I just seem to prefer being able to hold the book itself in my hands and such.

As iPad is released ( if you know about it ) it has it's own bookstore for buying books and etc. But I still prefer the actual book rather than electronic. Spending lots of time on internet and later reading books on electronic device is not for me , at least. The only advantage I think of having electronic format that you'll books can go with you anywhere. I have recently move from Pakistan to france, and all my books are in pakistan because I can't bring them all with me ;-( if they were electronic then it was no pain for bringing with me

I am sure if you from Apple's itunes then anything you buy its can it download again, if you purchases it. I am sure amazon the big daddy of selling online books, both electronic and real books. THey also have the same solution for electronic books. If still you're not sure, then do what i do. BACK UP YOUR DATA !!!!

It might be convenient for storage reasons electronically but I agree with you I like to have an actual book too.

I will keep reading actual books rather than swith over to electronic books. Nothing beats curling up with a good book (esepcially in bed)! Wouldn't be the same with a laptop or even with an iPad, would it? I also like to physically go to a bookstore and browse the shelves to find a good book - that's half the fun of reading! Anyways, I'm sure that reading a physical book is a lot kinder on the eyes than reading electronically - specially over time.

I think it is much easier to get into the book if it is an actually physical book rather than an electronic book, but it would also be much easier to find the book electronically to read it. I enjoy actually reading and turning pages and really getting the suspense of the book, but I am sure others wouldn't mind reading electronically instead.

I do like reading paperbacks and hard cover books. It's different reading them on a computer, but I guess having a Kindle wouldn't be so bad :)
