When you feel that you already have a lot of files on your desktop or laptop, do you use online storage facilities such as filefactory, adrive, skydrive, 4shared and others to unburden your hard drive? I personally use them and find them indispensable especially when my desktop pc goes crazy. How about you? Any positive or negative experiences with these facilities?

Honestly i don't thinks so i need a online storage..because i already have pretty gud huge HD and also if my files are stored online and if you have don't have internet connection at that time then obviously you want be able to access ur files ..
So i guess it is better to have your files in your computer itself rather on online..

its always safe that you don't trust a third party stuffs to ave your files and that to on internet. But make sure that the site is secured by looking into HTTPS where s stands for secured. Which we can mostly find in payment websites and more secured websites.

ya, online storage facilities are used. online storage facility helps to recover data from anywhere over the internet. in my point of view online storage has positive experiences like security, safe, secure, reliability and more.

I would rather back-up my files in a CD or DVD or an external hard disk, since all these online storage facilities require internet connection to access them. What if I need the files urgently and my internet connection goes crazy. Since I am a professional I wouldn't offer to have these files accessed after the stipulated time and put me in a critical position. CD, DVDs or External Hard disk is always at hands and you will be able to access them at any given time.

i personally dont use such such storage facilities to store my extra files on hard drive because these sites cant be trusted and on that if the data on these sites is lost then who is responsible for the loss? also it cannot be recovered . Sometimes it happens that files uploaded on these sites do get deleted. Its better to remove the data on a CD or a DVD or maybe a pen-drive.

well for files that i like to save, i usually burn them. I have tried online storage but i don't really trust my personal files with them.
well i have tried one and sometimes they will store it with a time limit which is bad if you want it to last forever. well this is true with the free ones.

no i dont use online storage option to store my files, because i am not having an unlimited internet connection.
and its not that much easy to upload and download.
it eats more time, so i dont go for it even though i have a low storing space in my pc.

I personally would not advice giving my personal files to an online databank..... think it's better to just have an external hard disk for backing up you files.

I've used them a time or two, but don't find them reliable as you either don't get much free storage, or even if you've invested money sooner or later they go down, or go ofline. I've lost a lot of files that way.

I do not store my files on the online storage facilities, I found that it is too slow if I were to upload a huge size files. I would prefer to store it either in my pen drive, cd, dvd, or my portable hard disc. That will be much easier and I will be easier to access to it. I have this experience that all the files that I store in my laptop when lost when my laptop's hard disc spoiled. So ever since then I never store my file on my laptop anymore.

yes sometimes when i do back-ups of my important files , first i will encrypt and zipped them with passwords so its contents will be private, i also use online storage so when i do reformat my pc i will just download its previous files, i do it when i have no other choices like putting them into another hard drive..
i think the only thing that can be negative about those online storage facilities when your upload is corrupted it's worst scenario for me, so i'll download it after i upload so i'm sure that my file is completely uploaded, it's better to be sure than sorry.. :)
have a nice day..
