Sasiradhika Go for Genuine software when it comes to anti-virus. I would say McAfee is really good though bit costly comparing to kaspersky, but it's worth money. Safe computing !!! Sasi

Sasiradhika What ur friend said is 100% correct it is better to login as a user account than administrative account since the person/virus which hacks ur computer may get the same access as ur account .. if you want install or uninstall any application you can do that...

Sasiradhika To answer your question you can try system restore to a earlier point which was working fine some thing like time machine.. you can do that by clicking on start - all programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.. follow the onscreen information...
