Maybe your system was crash. You should be reinstall and create a file GHOST for next time. You can used a HirenBoot CD to do this. It's that easy. You can find it on the web. If U don't find it, tell me i'll give for you the link for download. Hope it helps, good luck.

well you could try putting the hard drive where your os is in your primary booting device in the bios. or if this is not working try removing some of your hds and check if it will work.(of course not the one with the os).
Then check with your ram sticks, video card.
well is the restarting random? If so then i think its an energy problem, check your energy supply ( not the outlet the one in your cpu)

Hey ramaswamyvtkv! yeah your name spell to hard for me.About your problem with your
PC,firts are you have experience troubleshooting computer like installing and or
disassembling hardware units? if not, well solving that kind of problem should
better leave to expert.but if you do,you can try removing first your harddisk
or try to disable it in bios.if you made it disable its like there is no harddrive
installed in your pc,then try to boot.If it prompt at dos like OS NOT FOUND or
NO OPERATING SYSTEM,and it didnt restart, well we can say that its either your
os or your pc memory on trouble.second,do you have cdrom drive and windows xp
cd installer? because if none, well you can fix your pc at computer shop because
you said you can't even boot to safe mode so there is no other option to boot
it into other drive or cdrom drive to examine it why it always restart.
If you have two PC memory installed you can try to remove one of them and try
to boot your pc if it still restart, reinsert one you removed and removed the
later one and try to boot it again,if still do autorestart well its probably
there are drivers on your OS that have been damage so it cant continue booting
but you can say that your PC memory is in good.
Try to detect your harddrive in BIOS.if it detect,i can say that the problem
is really on the OS drivers and your harddrive are still ok...

First, find a Window XP setup disk, get in the BIOS setup and change first boot service to CDROM. Boot your computer with the setup disk. If you can boot with the setup disk, it must be something wrong with you OS, so backup you important datas with backup console and rebuild your OS again.
If still can't boot, check whether there's something wrong with your hardware. RAM sticks loosing is the usual problem.

it must be some problem with the operating system or even the ram will create such problems once i just opened the CPU in my computer and removed the RAM from it and i cleaned it with a clean cloth which is really clean and removed little dust sediments on RAM. Later when i inserted the RAM in my computer CPU and turn on my computer it worked really fine. So why don't you try it. It may work
