solution to USB Device not recognized..!!

When I pluck-in the USB cable of my external drive to my pc, it shows "USB device not recognized" Can anyone tell me how to make my hard drive working again as I'm unable to open it.

reco369 try your USB thing to other computer. if still wont recognize, usually it already got some internal damage and nothing we can do to fix it. but first try it to different computer sure it will work. :-)

reco369 microsoft will just end their support in winXP. but im sure it wont lost in the computer circulation. its the best OS for me,yet thats my OS now LOL XD many still cant afford to use WIN7 because it need some expensive computer parts.

reco369 my vote is avira, its more friendlier in my PC than any other antivirus, but you can try and choose which best for you pc, and which detects and clean that ugly virus.
