Yep it is true! As of yesterday! First I spilled milk on the keyboard while eating breakfast! I cleaned it up as good as I could and it still worked! I had no trouble using the computer at that time! Then when I wanted to use it in the afternoon I couldn't! I was also starting to have trouble with the keybaord! Mostly with the connection! When I logged on I was told my computer needed to be restarted because of it needed to be cleaned by my anti-soft wear! I tried a few times to logo on in but the same thing kept happening! I have no idea what is wrong with the computer! I do know I will need a new keybeaord! So I am going to see if the IT department at work will be able to do fix my pc. So for now I am going to being using the conputers at work when I can. That a happy camper right now!

Computers and liquids do not go well together, so there could be a variety of issues depending on what components have been affected by the milk. With a little luck you may find only the keyboard is damaged, so try another keyboard and see how well it operates. Assuming that you still have issues, then it will need to be checked thoroughly.

I know the computer's keybaord was affected by the spilled milk. I am not sure what happen with the computer but I got it back yesterday. The IT department found nothing wrong with it! They thought it was an internet problem at my place! I hooked my computer up and the new keybaord I bought, and then called my internet provider. They could not do anything! Something was not right and then a pop up appeared it was not working because the clock and date was all fuched up! I knew I couldn't change it unless I loged on as my brother! Thank goodness he left his password! So I was able to do that and now my computer is in use and I am happy!

Oh the poor keyboard! Just kidding, at least you're not entirely off from using a computer for long. Spilled liquids on keyboards are easy to fix. At least that's what I heard from friends. Just hang in there and your PC will be back in normal operations.

At least you can use the computer at work for backup. I hate it when my computer is down. Its so strange how accustomed we are to just logging on and visiting places we do so easily! Hope they can get it fixed soon!

I dropped off my computer on Tuesday. I will check to see how it is going tomorrow with my PC. Right now I am on one of the work computers. I have been using one every break I've had! Like now I am on one again and it is after work! I will be here about an hour yet! I feel so lost without my computer!

My grandson spilled milk on my laptop one time several years back now. Luckily I had a warranty on it. The company sent a new keyboard to my address and then a tech came out and replaced then made sure it worked for me. It sure pays to have a warranty and such on a computer.

My first computer I bought from someone at work. No warranty. So when that went mybrother, the computer programer, took care of my old one and got me the one I have now. He gets used computers and keyboards from his job. So when I spilled water on my keyboard few years ago, he send me another keyboard. With the one I spilled milk on I will get recycled and the keybaord I have now is wireless and from Walmart. I love it! I will try to be more careful from now one!

try to open the cpu, and check correctly if there was a former dairy into the cpu. so don't close your cpu chase to dry your cpu quickly. if this don't work i prefer you to bring your computer to computer repair place.

I took the computer in on tuesday. I got a call from the IT department on friday. My PC was done. Apparently nothing was wrong with it! At least nothing with the computer! The IT department thought it was the connection at my place. So I picked up my computer when I got home from work. I still had problems! I could get on my e-mail but not the internet. I called my internet provider and nothing they did worked! Then I got a pop up saying I can't use the computer because the time, date, and year was all wrong!! I got the computer from my older brother aN and how that got messed up is beyond me! Luckily I knew his password and got on the computer to fix the clock, date and year! Now my computer is back to nomal!

I'm pretty sure that while mild does a body good, it's not so good for computers. Hopefully it will be a cheap and easy fix. If it was your cell phone, I would say put it in a bowl of rice so it can dry out. It would take a lot of rice to bury your computer. I hope your IT department can help you out. You are lucky to have access to people who know how to work on computers.

The IT department were I work doesn't charge people to have their computers worked on. I am giving IT a seond chance to work on my computer! I think it was 5 years ago,my first computer, was very infested with viruses! The IT department had my computer almost 2 and a half months! They did a half azz job on it! I ended up like a month later sending it to have my brother to fix the problems they didn't fix in the first place! Luckily there are different people in IT now and two I happen to know! Hopefully they can fix the problem!

It's not a laptop, right? If it is a desktop and if the milk only went into the keyboard then I think the problem will be fixed by simply replacing the keyboard. If it is a laptop then the problem may be more complicated. If liquid hits the motherboard then your computer will be toast. I would go and buy a cheap keyboard and see if that makes a difference.

I have not gottan a laptop my friend Chris desided to keeps his to do music downloads and movie downlaods! Even though he has a Mac Book now! GR! I am dissappionted! I still have my desk top and I spilled the milk all over the key board! I knew I could buy anew keyboard cheap. I didn't. I saw a wireless keyboard for $24.00 and bought that one! I love it! With my computer the IT department at work could not find a thing wrong with it! They thought my internet conncetion at home was the problem. I called them after I hooked my computer back up. Nothing they did helped! I didn't know what happen and how it happen! Then a pop up happened saying My computers clock, date and year was all messed up and the computer owner needed to be one to fix that! I get my computers from my older brother! Luckily I rememebered his password and logged on as him and took care of the clock, date and year! Now my computer is back up and running!

Be careful. It may be against your company policy to use a computer for personal use. I worked for a large company where they actually had people monitoring what you did on the computer. I would try a new keyboard first. See if that helps. Two problems occurring at the same time seems abnormal.

Where I work it is not against the company policy to use their computers! I work at a college and I can use the computers in the computer labs! I go to the computer lab in the building I work in. I have to have a password, which I do,to logo on. All of this is legal! With my computer being fixed other people have done the same thing! It is save do! Believe me if they messed with someone's computer, they would be kicked out of the college! So there is no problems! I did get a new keyboard. I went to Walmart and got one.

If anything would happen to my laptop, i do have a tablet to use as well as my smartphone. It is nice to have different ways of accessing the internet, as I am lost without it. I am sorry to hear that your computer dosn't work anymore, and I hope that it is a simple fix, and doesn't take forever to get it back. At least you have a computer to use, even ifit is at work. Take care, and have avery good day.

Your keyboard is probably fried. You need a new one but as for your computer, it's best to let someone knowledgeable look at it to see what's wrong with it.

My keybaord is fryed! I will get it recylced in the future! I got a new keybaord last night. I bought a wireless one at Walmart. I love it! I also have my computer back! IT found no problems with it. They thought it was with the interent hook up at home. I called the interent provider and they could not help me! It turns out somehow the clock, date and time got messed up! Luckily I was able to fix the problem! I have my brother's password (he is the one who gave me the computer)and fixed the problem! Now I am happy!

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, we must be very careful while dealing with electronic items and avoid food items near to the computers. Some electronic devices are very sensitive and give unwanted problems like this. Wish you to repair your system soon and have a great access with it.
