I have heard of this a little bit in the past but was hesitant to join it due to there being many scams out there. I will definitely take a look at the website to find out more about it. Are you a member here and if so, does it really work or did you get anything from it? Is it just for groceries or other items as well? Hope you are having a nice day Joy. Ken

Ken, am late ..this topic was resurrected..but yes I am a member..I need to shop this week so I can scan;) They send you things and you gather pointes each time you scan and answer their very brief surveys on occasion..:)+

i actully just recieved mine last week, so it is alittle bit to get used to to remeber to scan everytime i go to the store. i think it will be neat though.

I've been a member of Homescan for 6 or 7 months. Pretty easy to scan stuff. I've racked up over 20,000 points so far. Not sure what price I'll pick, but Homescan have sent some nice incentives. Flashlights, blanket, etc.

If you look on their site there are nice rewards for scanning. SOme people earn lots for scanning..I had been off for some weeks and should have more points ..but have been faithful to entering each time I shop now..Some times it's tedius and when I finish shopping I am already so tire.

I actively participate..I think it has alot to do with how many are already in your area..but you can check out the number I listed in the message above and call them..asking if they came any closer to accepting you into the program..sometimes a little persistence will show them you will be really good for their program;)+

Well I have had the scanner for some time but havent been as faithful past but of late I scan everything. It takes discipline..Especially when You want to plop down after the tedious job of shopping!

happygal I am a member ..at first I couldnt get the hang of it but now it is second nature..They provide you a scanner which looks something like the scanner postal carriers carry and you simply scan everything you get ..They provide now somethin for gas and vegetables and fruits too.

sometimes you have to call them again..I had not gotten mine at first but called them back and they were real nice about resending it out again.. They usually send it by UPS so if you are not home ..more than likely it was returned

I used a similar site from uk called shop and scan which was similar seemed ok as long as u did a big shop every week which i didnt tend to do so couldnt up load the information every week :( its just a case of scanning your shopping as you put it away then saying where you got it from etc.

I belong to the Homescan team. Enjoy it alot. Racking up points as I go and it is fun for all of us when we finish shopping. The scannable card now that has the categories for fruits and gas and prescriptions and things is really nice too. Also enjoy the things on line they have from time to time and then also the scannable surveys they send are quite fun too. Glad to meet another Homescanner!!
