well now that rio ferdinand has suffered a knee injury,England has suffered a big blow,well England are known to big chokers at big touraments,their place is virtually similar to south africa in cricket,So the injury to rio ferdinand will act as a bane or a boon,what u guys think ?I am a huge England Faaaaaaaaan

Perhaps if English football teams stopped using so any foreign players in the domestic league and encouraged more home grown talent, when it came to international matches the pool of players available would give us enough good players that one or two players with injuries wouldn't cause us a worry!!
That is me on my high horse, I get so annoyed when I hear@oh Rooney's hurt@ or in this case Ferdinand so we're knackered!!!

I dont agree that the amount of over sea's player's in England is causing too much of a problem. In italy they have many foreigner's yet still won the WC, in champs lg final Inter had 1 at most Italian. All the forigners do in England is show just how bad the English players really are and that the uk media over hypes us come every tournament. The only English players who I feel could get in any team in the world are Rooney, lamps, Gerrard, JT, Rio, A cole... 6 players from a total of thousnad's of english registered players, for the country that invented the great game that is very poor.
If 5 of those 6 players have a good Wc then we stand a half decent chance of doing well, maybe even winning !!!
Spain were considered to be tournamnet chockers too, then they went and won euro 2008 and have been on an amazing run since with only 1 or 2 defeats in over 40 games I think ? when England won in 66, we were also cricket world champs, guess what England not long did in cricket, fate or spooky ???
