Last night I saw a film about a really poor families or young girl who have no ways to take care after their children and now I wonder which is the better decision to kill your unborn child who still has no life and is not a real person yet but is something which may later have life or give birth to your baby and then leave it in an orphanage where children grow in misery and awful conditions?People are so cruel sometimes..What would be your decion if you had to make one of these(I do not wish it to anybody)

Well, of course it's best to control birth if you know you can't take care of the baby. But, since the options given is between these two, I'd choose to leave the child in an orphanage. Though some people have been debating the early stage of the unborn baby is not considered as a human yet, hence you may not feel guilty if you "kill" him. I do not agree with that. Though I couldn't feel the baby's heart beat when he's only one month old (unborn), I could still feel that it's a life. I just can't imagine how we can kill a life, especially when he's our baby. As for leaving the baby in orphanage, he may not be miserable. Though he doesn't have the love from the actual parents, he may still get love from others, or maybe adopted parents. At least, he gets the chance to live, and he can choose to live better, rather than having no chance at all.

This is so sad, here in England people are desperate to adopt babies. As I sad in my response this is so dependent on personal situations - and cultural ones too it seems.

people here also try to adopt children but procedures are really difficult and we often talk about gipsy babies who later appear to have different diceases so nobody wants them.It is really sad because they are not guilty of their parents' faults but later they became just the same.

Ask a child in an orphanage, whether they would rather not have been born, then ask them again when they are an adult. all the best urban

I feel abortion is murder plain and simple. It is said not long, almost instantly after conception, a new life is growing within the body. It may not look like a human being yet, but its still a life. So there you have it, a life, a life within a life. The killing of any life, weather it looks human or not, is murder. Abortion is murder in its truest form. The killing of a life, before it is completed. Its murder plain and simple, and I don't condone it. Adoption, is the best option. I don't mean dumping a child on a doorstep, but putting a child up to be taken care of, loved. If possible open adoption so the mother-to-be has a say in who takes care of and raises their child. Adaption is far different then orphanages. The child is given to parents who go through a relentless screening process to ensure they will be fit parents for the unborn child.

Neither...and hope that you don't put yourself in a situation where you have to make those choices. For one, abortion is murder - killing a hapless unborn human being who never ask to be born but came to be because of two irresponsible individuals who gave vent to their lustful desires without thinking of consequences. The abortion issue is still being debated as to where to put a line to distinguish where or when conception takes place. And my humble opinion says that once fertilization of the ovum by the sperm occurs and any action or procedure to stop the process is applied, then that is abortion - plain and simple murder. On the other hand, parents giving away their infants or children to orphanage or shelters or for adoption is again an act of irresponsibility in the highest order. The bottom-line therefore, is awareness - thinking before making the leap. Plan your family and be a responsible parent. Poverty is no excuse but the more reason to be aware of dire consequences and the difficulty of raising and feeding a large family.

Well I also hope never having this problem as I think before I do something but I recently see too many really young and unhappy girls pregnant and I just thought for a moment how they feel. And is more strange for me is the opposite thing.REsently a woman at 62 born twin girls.do you think she may give these children what they deserve?

i don't think that abortion is the best solution, and putting the children in an orphanage is better so they can find better parents that can really take care of them as it should be

i hope i never ever have to make this decision... that's why i don't have a child yet until now and i prefer to wait until me and my hubby are both financially and emotionally ready before we have a child... a child is a gift from God and there is no way that i will ever perform an abortion... that is consider as killing and it is prohibited in my religion... as for giving my baby away for adoption or leaving him/her in an orphanage, i won't have the heart to do that as well... so the best thing to do is to make a wise decision and take preventive measures before falling pregnant... take care and have a nice day...

I too agree with lingli_78.Giving birth to child means resposiblity. It's our responsibility to make them good citizens rather than makiing them to anything else.Birth control is the good decision rather abortion or orphanage.

hi,according to me it's better to go for an abortion than to leave a child in orphanage .If the family is not really willing to welcome a new child it's better to go for an abortion.

This is a very difficult and very personal choice. So much depends on the person involved. Personally I do believe that a very young girl who becomes pregnant is better to have a termination early on in the pregnancy as a pregnancy and birth is a BIG thing for a young girl to go through. If though it is possible for a person to be able to live their life well through the pregnancy it is better for the child to be offered for adoption. As I say,a very difficult choice, and one that depends on religion, ethics and personal circumstances
