now I know it's Sunday and discussions can be alittle slow here in myLot so, I thought I would share A.L.I.C.E. with everyone who cares to listen
I met ALICE after replying to a discussion yesterday, and for some weird reason I fnd her strangely addictive, (maybe I should get a life).
The more you ask , the better the responses become from ALICE, (example below)
Human: do you know any jokes

ALICE: I am not programmed to be a comedy bot.

Now I know some of myLotters may find this stupid or boring, but, give it a try,

Wow !! I was strange about that, it's completely new to me. I have tried this it's really nice. Just fall in love with it !!
By the way thanks for giving me something new. Well, after all its robot so sometimes it gives strange replies.

i asked some stupid questions,such as 'who are you?','what are you doing',
'where are you from'......and after four or five questions,it answered'are you testing me?'

I took alice to be the admin here at first!!
Well, then I realized that it was not!!
Alice is really boring but shoots out some silly answers that can make you guffaw, at least not laugh!!
Here is my piece of conversation :
Human: You are just a piece of metal with many screws and some chips.
ALICE: Just? Which piece?
Human: The big piece
ALICE: What are your goals in life?
Human: Hmmm.
ALICE: A lot of people spell HMMM with three mmm's.
Human:. Nothing great to share with a bot!!
ALICE: Really nothing?
Human: And I spell it like that too...... Nothing to share with a bot I said!!!

yes, it's all for fun. i got a share of my silly question and answer thing. ALICE is fun. besides, why beat a piece of technology. i think ALICE is a great tool to measure patience. let's propose it.

thankyou for the information and i think i would spend too much time trying to get a real answer from her....it... the robot
But then realised i dont have to as i have these kind of conversations with my teenage and older children., as one of the conversaltionalists is definately not on the same wave length., but it would depend on the listener i think !!!???
So will stick to the flesh and blood variety or version of alice... but enjoyed the read...
Perhaps you not encountered teenagers ??!!! LOL

I remember Alice from long ago, years and years! She wasn't very informative then, just a new bot, and it was hard to converse with her. What an improvement!!
I asked her the first name of Doctor Who, a character on a long-running science fiction/fantasy television show. She referred me to her creator, Dr. Wallace. I won't bother him, of course, but she has definitely become more articulate and her "thinking" processes are much more advanced than when I first "met" her!

I was pleased to discover, watching an new episode made after 2005, that the Sarah Jane had been keeping K9 after she left the TARDIS. I remember the first time I saw him with Romana and the Dr. played by Tom Baker.

hi haddowz wow you really meant Alice as in robotic Alice. this looks like fun but I will have to wait til after breakfast as they serve
as 7 a.m. and I would probably spent more than fifteen minutes with
Alice as she looks fascinating to me. I could get easily hooked on
her too so will wait til I have more free time. thanks for sharing

lol. I love talking to the ALICE bots. This game I play uses them to help new players and their so funny. Talk to igod too if you get the chance. He's hilarious but kind of scary. Scary because he always answers my questions before I even type them out O.o
