Spend some time in London, you will love it. There's no need to have a car. Go through the parks. Start at Kensington Garders, where Lady Diana lived. That connects with Hyde Park and after that is Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives. Mingle with the crowds at night around Picadilly. There is so much to see and do there.

Hi, I am a native of England and I think you will find it very different from China, Although there is much to see in London do try to get out of London, as we say, you don't enter England till you leave London! Of course you don't say it is London is where you stay but to really get the flavour of England you need to go to the towns and villages with the beautiful countryside.
all the best urban

I am a native person of the United Kingdom. I was born in England and I have traveled to fifty different countries in the world. I live in the south west part of England. In the past I lived in the south east part. I know that you will like it in London. Sights I especially like are Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Kew Gardens. I think you will find the London Underground train system interesting. I think it will be great if you see a few other places. Rye is in East Sussex. It has a cobbled street and some lovely old cottages. I suggest a climb to the top of the church tower. Canterbury in Kent has a very beautiful cathedral. I like the White Cliffs of Dover also in Kent. Other places I like that are in the north are York and Chester. York has an old minster and Chester Roman Walls. I think you will enjoy finding out the history of England. I hope that you will have a very enjoyable trip.

By the way, when you say England, everybody might refer it as 'London'. Sadly, England is not only about London, one of the most famous cities across the globe. But since you are from China, you might arrive first in London. I have to confess, that London is really an exotic city, with everyone around the world stays there. It is really really a multicultural city, every language is spoken over there. It was nice to be there but you have to respect how crowded the city is. There are lots to see in London, from the magnificent Big Ben, all the way through The London Bridge, Tower of London, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, and so on. It was like taking us back to its history.
Another city you might consider to come is Bath. It was a very ancient and beautiful city, however it's a bit far from London and a bit closer to Wales, neighbor of England.
You might consider visiting Stonehenge, a mysterious place in England.

Hi meinana, Guess what? I will be travelling to England next month too. I am taking my kids to visit their grandparents and also escorting a relative who are going there to attend her daughter's graduation.
If you like history, I suggest you go to Warwick Castle or any of the Stately homes open to Public.
And like every one suggest, you can't go wrong with London.
My next suggestion would be Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare's place.
My advice would be plan your sightseeing well in advance and book the necessary tickets in advance. You will get it cheaper if you book it well in advance, especially train ticket.
Have fun. May be we'll meet each other. You never know.

Hi, Meinana. I am an American who lived and worked in London, and I loved the city. There is so much to see and do, but here are a few of my favorite places: Tate Gallery (modern art museum), Kew Gardens (botanical gardens you can reach by subway/The Tube), South Bank (across the Thames River, it is filled with theater and concert halls, movie houses, and restaurants), and Covent Garden, which is where all the theater is. Visit the Tix booth to get cheap theater or ballet seats. Going to the theater in London is almost like going to the movies here in the States; there is so much great live theater, it is very affordable. Finally for shopping don't miss London's most famous store: Harrod's. Have a wonderful time!
