What is the best piece of advise you have ever gotten? What is the best you have given? The best I have recieved was to "follow your concience" and "the longer your alive, the quicker time goes, so enjoy it." I dont know what is the best I have given.

The best advice I received till date was: "Do not open all your cards. Hold some of them up your sleeve.Leave people keep guessing about what you are upto." This was given me by an unknown stranger, whom I happened to meet on a train journey. All I know is that his name was David.I have never met him again, and not likely to. At that time I must have been 28yrs old and he about 60. This for me is the greatest advice ever received, because I am an open book. It made a lot of sense to me then. It does make great sense even today. But there may not be a great use for it now. The greatest advice I gave was to a young man who came to our company as a student trainee. I told him never to join a public sector organization as a young professional. If he had more than one job offer and if only he had to choose between one from a public sector organization and the one that is from a Corporate Private sector I asked him to choose the one that challenged him to do the best job as a young man- that for me meant the Corporate Private Sector job! I consider this diversion of one thinking mind to a great opportunity as the best good deed of my life till date.

I can see where that is good advise. I can't keep anything back, I'm really bad at that too, but I wouldn't want it any other way :)

When I was getting married, my mother told me to take care always of my true friends. I have done it all my life and I have been repayed a thousand times. I have some friends that are to me what a real family is. I feel that I have grown blood ties with them.

It may sound weird but the best advice I got is to always think positive and to be thankful in everything that you have. If you have a problem, look on the brighter side. And if you want something, try to focus on that thing and believe that you will have it. You may find these from "The Secret" and I find it useful. I used to be pessimist before but I guess I got better when I tried to apply these things on my life :)

My Gram told me to always be myself no matter what is going on. If people don't like me for who I am it is better then them liking a lye that I Have to live with forever.

The best piece of advise i have received was " be thankful all the time, no matter what" it simply says we should be grateful for whatever life brings. i love it coz it makes me positive all the time. The best advice i can give is " life is all about relationships so make extra effort to be nice to everyone"

I really like that. Too many people just go through life complaining not seeing there is so much to be thankful for in front of them.

I was once given a piece of advise "Never underestimate your children." and over the years I have become to understand this as being true as there is always one of my children that has done something to surprise me at one time or another during their lives. Just when you think they are set in their ways they change their minds and do something different. One of them got married and always said she never would. One went off travelling the world and I thought they would go back to university and the other has got a really good job that she was under qualified for and got it over others who had the qualifications, she just talked her way into the job at the interview, so yes children can never be underestimated in my view they are all individuals with their own talents.
