I've been using earphones but lately I see this stylish headphones that looks more durable than earphones. Which has a better sound quality? Which is more durable? I know that earphones cost less than the headphones, but is it worth an investment to buy a quality headphone? Let me hear you? Lol... Thanks.

headphones are much better as they keep out background noise, but some do get expensive, and with headphones you dont have to have the volume up on 10. and it's all according to what your plugging them into. id take your i-pod,disc player or whatever to the store your going to buy them at and try them out as earphones are needed for some .

Thank you for your comment. I think I will buy a headphone this time. :)

I have both. With headphones, you can adjust the volume. There are earphones with volume adjusters too but mine doesn't. Headphones tend to make my ears sore as it presses as I use it so I switch to earphones. When it causes discomfort again, I switch to headphones.

santosmarichris,
First of all, (not meant to pry) what are you using the accessory with? Most of all, will you be using it when you are traveling on the road?
To be mindful of safety, I think there will be no issue and headphone will definitely be the choice for indoors listening where you will be able to enjoy quality sound productions within your own realms - without bringing disturbances to your neighbors.
However, if you are going to use it whilst you are on the road, then I will have to seek a conservative approach. It would suffice that you can enjoy the quality of the sounds and not deafen the surrounding ambient sounds for one's safety.
Quality headphones are definitely my preferred choice but I think we will need to consider where and when we are going to use it.

i got some really good earphones so i like what i have. the only reason i like headphones is to watch movies with good sound quality as long as they are wireless. there expensive and mine broke and i didn't have them that long. yeah they still do something. i'll wear the headphones and i will start to hear an unbearable noise like its some screwed up frequency. it like my eardrums are about to get damaged when i attempted to listen out of them. i should of kept the package to send them back but i didn't expect them to mess up so fast. yeah lesson learn:
keep package to things until warranty expires

i have both. i think when it comes to durability, headphones are sturdier. most of the times though, i only use my earphones. not because i don't love my headphones, it's only because headphones take a lot of space when you're done using them, or when you can't use them. mostly, i use my headphones when i'm drumming. i don't like other people listening to me play because i'm not good yet so i just put my headphones on so i can play privately.
if you're always going to use it, then it would be worth it to buy a quality headphones.

if you were to ask me which of which is much better, perhaps i'll pick headphones over earphones.
It is because of the fact the the closer the sound comes from the greater the workload for our ears. So the amplification of headphones are more lighter than a direct music to the ear drum with the use of an earphone...
Perhaps you might notice that some other people tend to hear less when they are having earphones on than headset/headphones...
