HI MYLOTTERS...i'm planning to open up a business and i need your suggestions. right now i can think of only two; cyber cafe and book store. How much do you think it will cost to start a business and if you have other suggestions that you think is more suitable for a beginner please tell me. I really like to hear your suggestions...thanks

I have always wanted to open a used bookstore and also combine it with a consignment shop for local writers and artists! And in this day and age, combining the bookstore with cyber cafe would be good, too. I would imagine the overhead for a cyber cafe would be more costly than a bookstore, though I do not know this for a fact. This is something you can research online. Good luck with whichever you choose to do!

hi abitosunshine thanks for your respond. Now my partner and I are on our first stage of starting our cyber cafe business. I agree with you that combining the two would be a good idea but since all of our budget had gone to this business i guess the bookstore have to wait. We plan to open a small cyber with at least five PC and provide other services which will be handle by my partner.

Sounds good and I truly wish you the best of luck with your cyber cafe! It's exciting to be working toward something of your own and hopefully you'll reap many rewards, especially monetary ones.

I have no idea in book store business, but In cyber cafe its quite good, only your overhead in this business is very high. Electric, Internet connections, maintenance of your PC and the rental (if ever). And one thing more, you should have at least an idea on troubleshooting or reformat of PC.

From your two ideas cyber cafe is a good idea as we can get profits with in a short time .
in case of book store we have to wait a logn time until our store becomes popular so that we can get many customers and there by profits.
but in case of cybercafe if we can start it in a place where there are no cyber cafe in the near by locallaty then we can get customers from that locallity very soon so that our business develops in a short time .
and regarding the cost it depends on many factors. first of all you should decide about what kind of business you are going to start and then think of the costs.

I suggest you to open a cyber cafe. It's more profitable then book store. But you should have knowledge of computer software and function.
And the cost totally depend on you. How much you can afford.
All the best!
