I learned from previous discussions here that we earn from our posts in the form of responses and comments. We don't earn from what other people are typing here, instead, we earn from what we type here. But if our discussion become so popular, our name become so popular, then our popularity rating will also rise, and so our income rate per post. Correct me if I am wrong. Let's hear from veteran members of MyLot here.

Hey, princess. Actually, there really aren't anything called popularity points. I think what he is referring to is your rating. See the star above the username? That's your rating. I think the highest you can get is a 10. You get the star when you reach 100 (the number in the parentheses by your username) People rate your responses or discussions with either a positive or negative sign, therefore the little number in your star goes up and down reflecting those changes. I'm rating your discussion right now with a a positive sign.

yes sure. you would get more money. but you need to start a hot discussion...... something that everybody likes to talk about.

You would NOT get more money unless you post more.
You do NOT earn for what others type.
If you get a hot discussion with lots of responses then if YOU want to earn you must comment to those responses and THEN you will earn.
YOU only earn for what YOU type.

Oh, I see. I got your point now. Thank you very much. It is now clear that when you start a discussion, you do not earn from your topic. And you do not earn from people's responses to you. You can earn when you comment to people's responses to you. So, it is possible, by carefully managing the discussions that you have started, even if you spend only a little of your time responding to other people's topics, you can still earn handsomely. I now understand why there are members with lower number of post (total number of posts), earn bigger than me!

I now understand, the purpose is to encourage us to be more conversational in our discussions, dynamic discussions, and not just a "question and answer" type of discussion.

i dont think mylot is acting like that.. you will have to participate in discussions and that is the only way.. if your discussions get popular it means more poeple will reply to that.. so you cancomment on that replies and then you might get money.. i am not sure about that., but of course you can experiment it..

I am not sure but maybe.Based on my own experienced,I normally earn more when I response to interesting topics around especially in the today's top discussion.
Also some mylotters advice at least write 3 to 4 lines.
As long your words is worth it and informative,It will be good
I also figured out that if I just response like 'COOL NICE POSTS" or something short and not helpful,it doesn't earn a penny at all so for me I stick in enjoying around and search for topics that interest me.

i think that more popular you are more fame and money you get. well dont go for money over here take it to you maximum level for best response as you ganin more best respone more your rating will go and so do your income. try to response as much as you can on single day and take time to time visit to mylot whenever you are free

It doesn't matter how popular you are here, if you do not actively participate then you do not earn one single cent
